Environmental measures lead farmers to use more and more decision support tools to reduce their chemical inputs without losing yield. Imaging system based on crop/weed discrimination algorithms have been developed to detect weeds in field and allow a site specific spraying. These algorithms needs to be thoroughly evaluated before considering a public release and current evaluation are based on real images and are very tedious. SimAField is a software that aims at modeling agronomic fields with crop and weeds and simulate the picture taking process to replace ground truth and allow an automated evaluation of crop/weed discrimination algorithms.

Abstract The motility of the gastrointestinal tract is crucial for digestive activity and dysfunction can lead to severe disease pattern. A method for analysing the motility is needed when treatment approaches shall be evaluated. Therefore markers attached to different locations on the stomach and the bowel of pigs are video tracked in this research study. The markers are designed to provide a high contrast and have an adhesive side for fixation. Above the operation field a video camera has been placed to film the markers during the procedure. Tutkimuksen lähtökohtana oli Zoltán Dörnyein uusi motivaatioteoria, joka koostuu oppijoiden tulevaisuuden minäkuvista sekä aiemmista kokemuksista kohdekieleen liittyen. Kyseistä teoriaa ei ole vielä laajalti käytetty tutkimuksessa, ja suomalaiset kieltenoppijat ovat vielä varsin uusi kohderyhmä kyseiselle teorialle. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää nuorten urheilijoiden suhtautumista englantiin ja sen tärkeyteen. The purpose of this research was to examine whether individual and team sport athletes differ in their imagery use and imagery ability, and to examine whether level of sport participation or weekly sport involvement are variables that differentiate between athletes on the basis of their levels of imagery ability and imagery use. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) over the motor cortex during motor imagery results in increased amplitudes of motor evoked potentials (MEPs) in muscles specific to the imagined movement. Functional MRI studies demonstrate that motor imagery involves a widespread neural network including prefrontal and parietal areas. Salience or visibility of science-related issues can be strategically projected by means of linguistic and visual resources. This article presents a methodology for examining the relations between the textual properties of popular science discourse and the visual features of accompanying images. The advantages of this approach are demonstrated through a multimodal analysis of a sample of biomedical articles from New Scientist, which reveals the frequency and distribution of selected properties of visual images, typical aspects of layout, attributed functions of the images, and their relation to the text. International audience; Spectral Filter arrays (SFA) is an emerging technology for multispectral image acquisition. SFAs make possible the use of a compact multispectral sensor to acquire still images or video. One part of this talk will present and compare typical multispectral and color image acquisition systems in order to clearly identify differences underlying SFA technologies. The other part of this talk will show the difficulties and advances that we have made at the University of Bourgogne in the building of such sensors from the design of filters to data processing, such as demosaicing.
