Effect of ionic liquid organizing ability and amine structure on the rate and mechanism of base induced elimination of 1,1,1-tribromo-2,2-bis(phenyl-…
2006
Abstract The kinetics of the elimination reaction of 1,1,1-tribromo-2,2-bis(phenyl-substituted)ethanes into the corresponding 1,1-dibromo-2,2-bis(phenyl-substituted)ethenes induced by amines were studied in three room temperature ionic liquids ([BMIM][BF 4 ], [BMIM][PF 6 ], [BdMIM][BF 4 ]). In order to have information about reagent–ionic liquid interactions, the reaction was carried out over the temperature range (293.1–313.1 K). To study the effect of the amine on the rate and occurrence of the elimination reaction, several primary, secondary and tertiary amines with different structure (cyclic and acyclic), basicity and steric requirements were used. The data collected show that the reac…
ChemInform Abstract: Reactions of Pyrano(3,4-b)indol-3-ones with Dienophiles: Consecutive (4 + 2) Cycloaddition/Cycloreversion/1,2 Elimination.
1990
Methylpyrano[3,4-b]indol-3-ones 1 react with selected dienophiles (as acetylene equivalents) in a consecutive Diels-Alder/cycloreversion/1,2 elimination reaction sequence to furnish the 1-methyl- and 1,4-dimethylcarbazoles 4.
Synthesis of novel fluorinated building blocks via halofluorination and related reactions.
2020
A study exploring halofluorination and fluoroselenation of some cyclic olefins, such as diesters, imides, and lactams with varied functionalization patterns and different structural architectures is described. The synthetic methodologies were based on electrophilic activation through halonium ions of the ring olefin bonds, followed by nucleophilic fluorination with Deoxo-Fluor®. The fluorine-containing products thus obtained were subjected to elimination reactions, yielding various fluorine-containing small-molecular entities.
The children of immigrants in France: The emergence of a second generaton with the collaboration of Esin Gezer Special Series on Children in Immigran…
2009
International audience; Since the mid - 1970s, immigration for family reunification has been more important than labour fo rce immigration. Most residence permits are granted because of family relationships. The immigrant population has been ageing. More than half the Italian immigrants are over 65. While second - generation Italians and Spaniards represent nearly half all immig rants 18 and over, they have been largely overtaken in the 0 – 17 age group by second - generation Algerians, Moroccans, Portuguese and sub - Saharan Africans. Of the last group, 21 per cent are under 25 years of age. Immigrants who arrived in France less than 1 0 years ago are more highly qualified than previous im…
Development of Computerized Adaptive Testing for Emotion Regulation
2020
Emotion regulation (ER) plays a vital role in individuals’ well-being and successful functioning. In this study, we attempted to develop a computerized adaptive testing (CAT) to efficiently evaluate ER, namely the CAT-ER. The initial CAT-ER item bank comprised 154 items from six commonly used ER scales, which were completed by 887 participants recruited in China. We conducted unidimensionality testing, item response theory (IRT) model comparison and selection, and IRT item analysis including local independence, item fit, differential item functioning, and item discrimination. Sixty-three items with good psychometric properties were retained in the final CAT-ER. Then, two CAT simulation stud…
Bicultural couples: from family to community
2012
The paper examines the dynamics of bicultural couples in which one partner is autochthonous and the other is of foreign nationality. Two levels of analysis were considered: a macro level studying the identity of place in reference to the general social context and the residential neighbourhood, in particular; the second level refers to the dynamics of the couple and examines the strategies for managing differences between partners and the educational styles adopted in the presence of children. According to the basic assumptions of qualitative research, 22 mixed couples living in Sicily were interviewed. To analyse the contents which emerged from interviews the Atlas.ti software was used. Th…

Las formas de lo arbitrario: los altos y bajos de Towards a Theory of Arbitrary Law-making in Migration Policy de Patricia Mindus
2021
This article has two aims. First, it presents the illuminating recent work of Patricia Mindus on arbitrar…

La discrimination numérique dans l’organisation
2010
