Lowest triplet excited states of a novel heteroleptic iridium(III) complex and their role in the emission colour

Abstract The [Ir(ppy-F 2 ) 2 Me 4 phen] +1 complex, where ppy-F 2 is 2-(2′,4′-fluorophenyl)pyridine and Me 4 phen is 3,4,7,8-tetramethyl-1,10-phenanthroline, has been theoretically investigated by means of DFT calculations. The molecular and electronic properties calculated for [Ir(ppy-F 2 ) 2 Me 4 phen] +1 are compared with those obtained for the simpler [Ir(ppy)(bpy)] +1 complex. The introduction of fluorine substituents in the ppy ligands and the use of phenanthroline instead of 2,2′-bipyridine as the diimine ligand increase the HOMO–LUMO energy gap and blue-shift the emission colour. Abstract A highly stereoselective synthesis of azeto[2,1- b ]quinazolines bearing three stereocenters (C1, C2, and C8) has been achieved via intramolecular [2+2] cycloaddition between ketenimine and imine functions supported on an ortho -benzylic scaffold. An asymmetric center adjacent to the iminic nitrogen atom, the future C8 carbon of the bicyclic product, efficiently controls the absolute configuration of the two new stereogenic carbon atoms of the azetidine ring, C1 and C2.

The preparation of N-methyl-BTHIQ (4) from N-phenylethyl-phenacetamide (1) by cyclization, reduction and N-alkylation in acid medium has been achieved in good yield in a 'one-pot' procedure. Acylation of imine (2) intermediate afforded the Z and E stereoselectivity in the enamide formation. 6-Hydroxy-BTHIQ (7) shows selectivity for D2 dopamine receptors, while its N-methylated homologue (8) displays higher affinities for both D1 and D2 receptor types, with an unexpected increase in D1 dopamine receptor affinity.

Kaksi- ja monikielisyyttä on tutkittu paljon esimerkiksi lasten kielen kehityksen ja kognitiivisen kehityksen näkökulmasta. Lasten käsityksiä omasta kaksikielisyydestään tai sen vaikutuksista ei ole juurikaan tehty tutkimuksia. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin yhdentoista kaksi- ja monikielisen lapsen näkemyksiä kaksikielisyydestä ja kielen opiskelusta. Kyseessä oli haastattelututkimus, jossa haastateltiin kuutta tyttöä ja viittä poikaa, jotka olivat neljäs-, viides- ja kuudesluokkalaisia. In the lactatingmammary gland, weaning produces mitochondrial cytochrome c release and nuclear DNA fragmentation, as determined by gel electrophoresis. This is followed by a significant decrease in lactation. Weaning for 2 h produces an early induction of the tumour suppressor/transcription factor p53, whereas the oncoprotein c-Jun and c-Jun N-terminal kinase are elevated after 24 h of weaning when compared with controls. The expression of p21cip1 and p27kip1, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors, was significantly higher in weaned rats when compared with control lactating rats. Muutaman viime vuoden aikana mobiililaitteiden käyttö kouluissa on yleistynyt. Tämä on osittain aiheuttanut ristiriitaista keskustelua laitteiden käytöstä opetuksessa. Osa opettajista on ottanut mobiililaitteet opetuskäyttöön innokkaasti. Mobiiliopetuksen mahdollisuuksia ei kuitenkaan ole vielä kovin paljon tutkittu. Tällä tutkimuksella oli tarkoitus selvittää, mitä mahdollisuuksia oppilaiden omat mobiililaitteet tarjoavat opetukseen. Tämän artikkelin tavoitteena on laajentaa digitalisaatiosta, datafikaatiosta, automaatiosta ja kasvatuksesta käytävää teoreettista keskustelua. Artikkelissa pohdin sitä, millaisia merkityksiä koulutuksen kiihtyvällä datafikaatiolla ja automaatiolla on opettaja-oppilassuhteille ja ylipäätään käsityksellemme formaalin kasvatuksen olemuksesta. Käsitteellisesti ammennan Martin Buberin dialogisesta filosofiasta, erityisesti Minä–Sinä- ja Minä–Se-käsitepareista, jotka kuvaavat eri tapoja, joilla ihmiset ovat suhteissa toistensa kanssa. The reactions of labile [Re(diimine)(CO)3(H2O)]+ precursors (diimine = 2,2′-bipyridine, bpy; 1,10-phenanthroline, phen) with dicyanoargentate anion produce the dirhenium cyanide-bridged compounds [{Re(diimine)(CO)3}2CN)]+ (1 and 2). Substitution of the axial carbonyl ligands in 2 for triphenylphosphine gives the derivative [{Re(phen)(CO)2(PPh3)}2CN]+ (3), while the employment of a neutral metalloligand [Au(PPh3)(CN)] affords heterobimetallic complex [{Re(phen)(CO)3}NCAu(PPh3)]+ (4).
