This thesis aims to establish a urban structure that optimizes inhabitant's preferences. In other words, we want to find out which city shape answers the best the residents' aspirations, according to their consumption preferences for urban and green amenities. By considering a theoretical field of study and by characterizing the population by a Cobb-Douglas behavioral pattern, we will build step by step a city, assuming successive arrivais of new individuals, in order to find out which geometric shape gives the most suitable answer. We examined the journal Cognitive Psychology, as representative of the evolution of cognitive psychology during the last three decades (1979–1999). Analysis of changes in the impact factor defined according to the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) is an indication of the ranking of this journal both in the general classification of archival research journals as well as in relation to other periodicals in the area of cognitive psychology. [Background and objectives]: The aim of this paper is to analyse the scientific research on multiple sclerosis using a bibliographic analysis of articles published during the period 2003-2012. [Methods]: The items under study were obtained from the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) database, which was accessed through the Web of Science (WOS) platform. All records with the term multiple sclerosis in the title, plus all articles published in the journals Multiple Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis Journal, were analysed. Calculating the regional economic impact of the olympic games

This study introduces a methodological concept to combine the cost‐benefit analysis and input‐output models to create a new method to regionalize Olympic costs and benefits in order to define the economic impact at the regional level. This new form of analysis is used to calculate the regional economic impact of the Frankfurt Rhein/Main region, which bid to stage the 2012 Olympics. A generalised view of the Frankfurt case study shows patterns that are valid for all impact studies of major sport events. Finally a sensitivity analysis is used to determine critical variables.

Influence du vieillissement hygrothermique sur la tenue à l'impact de stratifiés quasi-isotropes/quasi homogènes

International audience; La présente étude a pour objectif de déterminer l'influence du vieillissement hygrothermique sur la tolérance à l'impact de stratifiés possédant des propriétés particulières d'isotropie. Trois stratifications de 24 plis carbone/époxy ont été étudiées. Deux d'entre elles conduisent à des propriétés d'isotropie en membrane et en flexion, la troisième est isotrope en membrane et anisotrope en flexion. Les stratifiés obtenus après cuisson suivant le cycle préconisé par le fabricant ont été découpés pour obtenir des éprouvettes carrées destinées au vieillissement et à l'impact.
