Vīrišķība un virtuve: ar ēdienu saistītu prakšu artikulācija Latvijas vīriešu vidū

Darbā pētīts, kā Latvijā dzīvojoši vīrieši, kas ieņem “baltās apkaklītes” amatu, apraksta ēdiena lomu ikdienas dzīvē, pievērošot uzmanību tam, kā izpratne par vīrišķību tiek izklāstīta ar ēdienu saistītu pārliecību un prakšu kontekstā. Kvalitatīvie dati tika iegūti, izmantojot līdzdalīgo novērojumu, vizuālās dokumentācijas metodi un padziļinātās intervijas ar desmit vīriešiem. Pētījumā tiek piedāvāts ieskats teorētiskajā literatūrā par dzimtes identitātes izspēli un vērtību piešķiršanas sociālo konstruēšanu plašākā kultūras ietvarā. Comparison of different theory models and basis sets in the calculation of 13C NMR chemical shifts of natural products.

The influence of the calculation method in mimicking experimental 13C NMR chemical shifts of 15 low-polarity natural products singularly containing 10–20 carbon atoms was investigated by employing different quantum chemistry approaches and basis sets, both in the preliminary geometry optimizations and in the following single-point 13C GIAO calculations of the NMR chemical shifts. The geometries of the involved species were optimized at the PM3, HF, B3LYP and mPW1PW91 levels whereas the 13C NMR parameters were determined at the HF, B3LYP and mPW1PW91 levels. Przedmiotem artykułu są tzw. przemianki, czyli miana towarzyskie, które zostały wyekscerpowane z opolskiej księgi cechowej garncarzy z lat 1727–1820 znajdującej się w Archiwum Państwowym w O polu. Temat ten jest ważnym uzupełnieniem ustaleń dotyczących polskiej antroponimii, gdyż, jak twierdzą historycy, nazwy te, mające charakter przezwiskowy (np. Płaczybabka, Marionek, Fiolla, Goniwiecha), mogły się stawać w późniejszym okresie oficjalnymi nazwiskami. Nazwy osobowe pokazane są na tle funkcjonowania grupy społecznej XVIII –XIX-wiecznych rzemieślników, w szczególności ukazana jest rola cechów w szkoleniu młodych fachowców oraz związane z tym zwyczaje. Problematyka niniejszego studium oscyluje wokół niezwykle ważnego gestu sakramentalnego jakim jest nałożenie rąk, który choć wspólny całemu chrześcijaństwu, posiada różną formę i znaczenie w poszczególnych tradycjach liturgicznych. Kolejne części artykułu w syntetyczny sposób prezentują najpierw terminologię związana z tym gestem, a następnie praktykę i po części też teologię nałożenia rąk w celebracji misteriów (= sakramentów) Kościołów syryjskich i bizantyjskich. Technical and economical comparison between NdFeB and hard ferrites linear electrical generators from sea waves

In this paper the authors perform a technical-economic comparison of two different Tubular Permanent Magnet Linear Machines for sea waves generation by using finite elements analysis. The first configuration includes ferrite rings while the second configuration includes neodymium-iron-boron rings. In order to compare the two types in economic and technical terms, a detailed analysis of the main figures of merit of the two configurations has been carried out. In particular, significant data such as flux distribution, rated voltage and current, axial force, electric power, realization cost and maintenance cost have been compared.

Noble Gases as Magnetic Probes in Fullerene Chemistry

Since the early 1990s of the previous century, the use of magnetic active noble gas atom to indirectly probe the size and symmetry of fullerene cage has been reviewed. Molecular modeling of nuclear shielding (and chemical shift) using gauge-including atomic orbital (GIAO) approach at several levels of theory, including Hartree–Fock (HF), density functional theory (DFT), and coupled cluster (CC), is discussed. The advantage of using GIAO calculation to predict and closely reproduce experimental 3He and 129Xe NMR spectra is shown.
