Proteiiniaineenvaihdunta ja sen tutkiminen isotooppi-infuusio -menetelmällä
2001
Tarja Nykänen, 2001. Proteiiniaineenvaihdunta ja sen tutkiminen isotooppi-infuusio - menetelmällä. Liikuntafysiologian pro gradu -tutkielma. Jyväskylän yliopisto, liikuntabiologian laitos. 74s. Lepomittau…

The article a(n) in English quantifying expressions: A default marker of cardinality
2020
Certain English quantificational expressions feature what appears to be an indefinite article, e.g. 'a bunch, a few, a hundred'. These can be divided into three types of quantifying expressions: pseudopartitives ('a lot, a bunch, a ton'), article-requiring quantifiers ('a few, a couple, a hundred'), and article-free quantifiers ('three, many, several'); article-free quantifiers have an article under certain circumstances, e.g. modification by an adjective ('a surprising 30 …'). While standard analyses would take the article in these expressions to be a D head, it is argued here that the article is not in D, nor is it singular or count, as evidenced by its (lack of an) interaction with verba…
Estar al otro lado de la mesa. Profesionales de los servicios públicos de empleo ante los dilemas de la activación laboral
2019
Under the paradigm of activation, the Public Employment Services has been reshaped by two levels of contractualization. On one hand, the collaboration of the administration with a network of agents on the programme scheme that make up the active policies of employment. On the other hand, the unemployed person?s access to a compartmentalized offer of services and individually taking responsibility for finding work. This double contractualization reveals redefinition of lowering public responsibility faced with the problem of unemployment that this activation supposes. This paper analyses how this redesign has an impact on how professionals serve the unemployed population. This lays bare, in …
Energy level determination of purine containing blue light emitting organic compounds
2018
Organic light emitting diodes (OLED) have found their applications in the mobile and TV screens. Till now the commercially available diodes are made by expensive thermal evaporation in a vacuum. The costs of OLED fabrication could be decreased by applying low-cost wet casting methods, for example, spin-coating. In this work, we have studied a group of blue light emitting purine derivatives which could potentially be used in OLEDs. The advantage of these compounds is their ability to form amorphous thin films from solutions. All the thin films were prepared by the spincoating method from chloroform solution on ITO glass. The position of hole and electron transport energy levels is important …

The state-of-the-art of collaborative technologies for initial vocational education : a systematic literature review
2018

Future workplaces require collaboration skills in which members of different work communities use technologies to solve complex problems. Vocational education and training (VET) programs need to meet the challenge to prepare students to be part of a competent workforce. Particularly initial vocational education is under pressure to develop learners’ collaboration skills and abilities. To date, however, no attempt has been made to perform a comprehensive review of the use of computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) technologies across different vocational education settings to account for contextual factors of VET. In this systematic review, 26 published studies …
¿Me voy o me quedo?
Enhancing Metastability by Dissipation and Driving in an Asymmetric Bistable Quantum System.
2018
The stabilizing effect of quantum fluctuations on the escape process and the relaxation dynamics from a quantum metastable state are investigated. Specifically, the quantum dynamics of a multilevel bistable system coupled to a bosonic Ohmic thermal bath in strong dissipation regime is analyzed. The study is performed by a non-perturbative method based on the real-time path integral approach of the Feynman-Vernon influence functional. We consider a strongly asymmetric double well potential with and without a monochromatic external driving, and with an out-of-equilibrium initial condition. In the absence of driving we observe a nonmonotonic behavior of the escape time from the metastable regi…
Highly occupied gauge theories in 2 + 1 dimensions : a self-similar attractor
2019
Motivated by the boost-invariant Glasma state in the initial stages in heavy-ion collisions, we perform classical-statistical simulations of SU(2) gauge theory in 2+1 dimensional space-time both with and without a scalar field in the adjoint representation. We show that irrespective of the details of the initial condition, the far-from-equilibrium evolution of these highly occupied systems approaches a unique universal attractor at high momenta that is the same for the gauge and scalar sectors. We extract the scaling exponents and the form of the distribution function close to this non-thermal fixed point. We find that the dynamics are governed by an energy cascade to higher momenta with sc…
