The digitized curriculum: voices and silences in the publishing field

En este artículo se analiza la posición, de algunas de las editoriales presentes en la Comunidad Valenciana, sobre la migración hacia formatos digitales del libro de texto utilizado en centros educativos de niveles no universitarios. Con una metodología mixta se estudian tres dimensiones implicadas en el proceso: la estrategia tecnológica, la pedagógica y la comercial mediante una serie de entrevistas, encuestas, grupos de discusión y análisis de documentos. This chapter analyses opportunities and challenges for regional innovation policies designed to promote new path development in different types of regional innovation systems (RISs). RISs differ enormously in their capacity to develop new growth paths due to pronounced differences in endogenous potentials and varying abilities to attract and absorb exogenous sources for new path development. Measuring higher-order cognitive skills with multiple choice questions:potentials and pitfalls of Finnish teacher education entrance

This mixed methods study examines the structure of the multiple-choice exam for student selection in Finnish teacher education. Through qualitative content analysis, we categorized multiple-choice ques-tions into items that assessed lower-and higher-order cognitive processes based on the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses yielded four factors that represented lower-and higher-order cognitive processing skills and comprehension of empirical and theoretical items. New research indicates that firms combining the science-based STI (Science, Technology, Innovation) and the experience-based DUI (Doing, Using, Interacting) modes of innovation are more efficient when it comes to improving innovation capacity and competitiveness. With regard to innovation policy, the STI mode calls for a supply driven policy, typically aimed to commercialise research results.
