Perinataalikuolemia on historiallisesti käsitelty poikkeavina ilmiöinä, jotka uhkaavat yhteisön sosiaalista järjestystä, jolloin perinataalivaiheessa kuolleet lapset on tietoisesti ulossuljettu yhteisön rakenteiden ulkopuolelle. Pienen lapsen kuolema on siten ollut pitkään yhteiskunnassa sosiaalisesti tunnistamaton ja tunnustamaton menetys. Tässä tutkielmassani selvitän niitä sosiaalisia ja kulttuurisia prosesseja, jotka ovat vaikuttaneet pienen lapsen kuoleman kohtaamisen käytäntöjen muutokseen. The intent of this research was to find out what is the state of Finnish energy policy when reviewing it from the vantage point of biogas as a motor vehicle fuel. It seemed, according to previous research, that Finnish energy policy is lead by an elite and that there was a lack in transparency of energy policy. Therefore, in addition to researching the question of transparency and the possible elite structure, the research questions were: Who are these elites? The everyday and spectacle of subdued citizenship in northern Uganda

Drawing on ethnographic research in the Acholi town of Kitgum in northern Uganda, this chapter illustrates how citizenship practices are embedded in particular relationships between the state and its citizens. Two key arenas for learning are identified: the everyday, which in this region is tinged by memories of past violence and fears of its recurrence, and moments of spectacular state performance such as the burial of a prominent politician. Sir Thomas More's Utopia, published in 1516, is a classic work of how to organise a society based on common property. With a unique mix of common property, institutions and sound economic insights, we argue that More built a framework for a society that could be viable in the long run. While the conditions that make Utopia work are quite restrictive, it does provide a sketch of a society where common property may not stifle long‐term development, but is associated with productive workers and people content with their lives.
Competing institutional logics in Soviet industrial location policy

The Soviet legacy has been widely demonstrated to have had negative impacts on the regional and economic development of Russia. This article studies the mechanisms of competing institutional logics in Soviet industrial location policies as a source of this adverse heritage. The results indicate that prolonged competition between three institutional logics complicated the adoption and practice of consistent industrial location strategies and contributed to structural problems in economic geography.
