Data for: Antiepileptic drug reduction and increased risk of stimulation-evoked focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizure during cortical stimulation i…
2018
Variable description of patient characteristics ID, unique identifier for each patient. Se-FBTCS, stimulation-evoked focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizure, categorical variable (yes indicating presence, and no indicating absence of se-FBTCS during cortical stimulation). Drug load reduction, relative reduction in drug load compared to baseline, continuous variable ranging from 0-100% reduction of drug load. History of FBTCS, spontaneous focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizure, categorical variable (yes indicating presence, and no indicating absence of FBTCS in patients history). Lesion, categorical variable (Lesion indicating presence of a lesion on cerebral MRI, and no lesion indicating n…

Solution of the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov equations in the Cartesian deformed harmonic-oscillator basis. (VIII) HFODD (v2.73y): A new version of…
2017
We describe the new version (v2.73y) of the code hfodd which solves the nuclear Skyrme Hartree-Fock or Skyrme Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov problem by using the Cartesian deformed harmonic-oscillator basis. In the new version, we have implemented the following new features: (i) full proton-neutron mixing in the particle-hole channel for Skyrme functionals, (ii) the Gogny force in both particle-hole and particle-particle channels, (iii) linear multi-constraint method at finite temperature, (iv) fission toolkit including the constraint on the number of particles in the neck between two fragments, calculation of the interaction energy between fragments, and calculation of the nuclear and Coulomb ene…

Care management in a French cohort with Down syndrome from the AnDDI-Rares/CNSA study.
2021
Down syndrome (DS) is a genetic neurodevelopmental disorder. In individuals with DS, a multidisciplinary approach to care is required to prevent multiple medical complications. The aim of this study was to describe the rehabilitation, medical care, and educational and social support provided to school-aged French DS patients with varying neuropsychological profiles. A mixed study was conducted. Quantitative data were obtained from a French multicentre study that included patients aged 4-20 years with diverse genetic syndromes. Qualitative data were collected by semi-structured face-to-face interviews and focus groups. Ninety-five DS subjects with a mean age of 10.9 years were included. Sixt…
Integration of oncology and palliative care: a Lancet Oncology Commission.
2018
© 2018 Elsevier Ltd Full integration of oncology and palliative care relies on the specific knowledge and skills of two modes of care: the tumour-directed approach, the main focus of which is on treating the disease; and the host-directed approach, which focuses on the patient with the disease. This Commission addresses how to combine these two paradigms to achieve the best outcome of patient care. Randomised clinical trials on integration of oncology and palliative care point to health gains: improved survival and symptom control, less anxiety and depression, reduced use of futile chemotherapy at the end of life, improved family satisfaction and quality of life, and improved use of health-…

The Open Innovation in Science research field: a collaborative conceptualisation approach
2020
Openness and collaboration in scientific research are attracting increasing attention from scholars and practitioners alike. However, a common understanding of these phenomena is hindered by disciplinary boundaries and disconnected research streams. We link dispersed knowledge on Open Innovation, Open Science, and related concepts such as Responsible Research and Innovation by proposing a unifying Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Research Framework. This framework captures the antecedents, contingencies, and consequences of open and collaborative practices along the entire process of generating and disseminating scientific insights and translating them into innovation. Moreover, it elucidat…
Crossing Borders: An Online Interdisciplinary Course in Health Informatics for Students From Two Countries.
2017
A cross-countries and interprofessional novel approach for delivering an international interdisciplinary graduate health informatics course online is presented. Included in this discussion are the challenges, lessons learned, and pedagogical recommendations from the experiences of teaching the course. Four professors from three different fields and from three universities collaborated in offering an international health informatics course for an interdisciplinary group of 18 US and seven Norwegian students. Highly motivated students and professors, an online technology infrastructure that supported asynchronously communication and course delivery, the ability to adapt the curriculum to meet…
Palatal fenestration after orthodontic treatment. Intermodal approach and evolution. A case report
2018
A 15-year-old patient is referred to the Department of Periodontics of the University of Valencia. The patient reported dissatisfaction with the position of upper right canine after orthodontic treatment. Previously, in a private center, surgical approaches were performed for the traction of the canine included. On clinical examination at first appointment, generalized plaque-induced gingivitis was observed, with palatal fenestration of the root of upper right lateral incisor of approximately 75% of the total surface, with suppuration and very little gingiva inserted at the cervical level, which presents a buccal torque of the crown. Radiologically, a mild rhizolysis and bone loss adjacent …
