Literacy Skills and Online Research and Comprehension : Struggling Readers Face Difficulties

The present study evaluated the extent to which literacy skills (reading fluency, written spelling, and reading comprehension), together with nonverbal reasoning, prior knowledge, and gender, are related to students’ online research and comprehension (ORC) performance. The ORC skills of 426 sixth graders were measured using a Finnish adaptation of the Online Research and Comprehension Assessment. Results of a structural equation model showed that these ORC skills were divided into six highly correlated factors, and that they formed a common factor in ORC. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Eiropas maksājumu sistēmu īpatnības un noteikt kiberdrošības problēmas un izaicinājumus, kas rodas banku darbības un starptautisku transakciju veikšanas rezultātā. Darbā tika aplūkoti kiberdrošības, maksājumu sistēmu un infrastruktūras teorētiskie aspekti, kā arī veiktas intervijas ar kiberdrošības speciālistiem un aptauja interneta lietotāju vidū. Pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka lietotājiem ir pietiekami augsts uzticības līmenis internetbankām, savukārt īpašu nozīmi Latvijas banku industrijā ieņem ārvalstu uzņēmumi. L’article evalue la qualite de la personnalisation du service client des banques francaises sur Internet. L’objectif est de definir comment le Web est utilise par les banques dans leurs modeles economiques pour renforcer la relation client. Objectives: The objective of the present study was to investigate whether an acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)-based web-intervention (Group 1, CareACT), or a standardized rehabilitation in a rehabilitation center (Group 2) was effective in enhancing the psychological well-being of family caregivers aged 60 and over compared to support provided by voluntary caregiver associations (Group 3). Methods: Altogether, 149 family caregivers participated in this quasi-experimental study. Primary outcome measure was depression.
