We propose a methodology to verify applications developed following programming patterns inspired by natural language that interact with physical environments and run on resource-constrained interconnected devices. Natural language patterns allow for the reduction of intermediate abstraction layers to map physical domain concepts into executable code avoiding the recourse to ontologies, which would need to be shared, kept up to date, and synchronized across a set of devices. Sixth graders’ evaluation strategies when reading Internet search results : an eye-tracking study

Eye-tracking technology was used to examine Internet search result evaluation strategies adopted by sixth-grade students (N = 36) during ten experimental information search tasks. The relevancy of the search result’s title, URL, and snippet components was manipulated and selection of search results as well as looking into probabilities on the search result components was analysed. The results revealed that during first-pass inspection, students read the search engine page by first looking at the title of a search result. Affordances provided by digital technologies and mobile apps (WhatsApp, Skype, Messenger) help in maintaining familyhood. These mobile apps enable the creation of in-app family groups. This paper offers a classification of research trends and perspectives about processes oriented to incorporate information and communication technologies (ICT) in schools. Identified are four research trends: a) studies about indicators of computers quantity in school systems; b) studies about computer effects in learning; c) studies about opinion, perspectives and attitudes of educational agents to ICT; and d) studies about computers' educational use in classroom and colleges. This paper finishes with a synthesis of current knowledge about projects and programs intended for the embodiment of ICT in school systems.
