Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten Elintapasairauksien varhaistunnistaminen ja interventio (EVI) -hankkeeseen osallistuneiden keskisuomalaisten alkoholinkäyttö oli yhteydessä tutkittavien taustatekijöihin. Keskeisesti haluttiin tutkia alkoholikäytön useuden, kertakäyttömäärien sekä humalahakuisen käytön yhteyttä vastaajien sukupuoleen, ikään, koulutustaustaan ja työelämätilanteeseen sekä painoindeksiin ja vyötärönympärykseen. Tutkimuksella pyrittiin vastaamaan myös siihen, missä olosuhteissa alkoholia käytettiin eri taustatekijöiden mukaan sekä millaista oli tutkittavien alkoholiin liittyvien terveystottumusten muutoshalukkuus. In the ?barri del mercat?, in the city of Valencia and very close to its Lonja, there is a building complex which is the object of this study. The research, carried out from the simple field of toponymy, to the constructive analysis, lead us to suppose that it is the building of the Valencian trade union of cloth-shearers. It can be seen how the building now camouflaged by other subsequent interventions, corresponds to a type that cannot be related to those usually built in the city of Valencia. This thesis is in the form of a monograph consisting of three distinct, but related studies. The three studies examined Grade 1 teachers’ knowledge and perceptions of reading instruction in classrooms in Namibia; and the use of GraphoGame in Afrikaans as a digital learning tool and as an intervention tool for struggling readers. Three data sets were collected: teachers (N = 132), children (N = 202) and struggling readers (N = 19). The results offered three main findings. This study explores the neurocognitive predictors of response to intervention with GraphoGame Rime, an adaptive software game designed to aid the learning of English phonics. A cohort of 398 children (aged 6 – 7 years) who had participated in a recent Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) of GraphoGame Rime in the United Kingdom were studied. Half were randomly assigned to play GraphoGame Rime (GG Rime) and the other half were assigned to Business As Usual (BAU). Oppilaat ovat erityisessä tuessa käyttäytymisen ongelmiensa vuoksi, ja tutkimme luokkamuotoisen erityisopetuksen toimintamallin tuloksellisuutta oppilaan yleisopetukseen palaamisen näkökulmasta. Response to Intervention (RTI) was accepted in the early 2000s as a new framework for identifying learning difficulties (LD) in the U.S. In Finland, a similar multi-tiered framework has existed since 2010. In the present study, these frameworks are presented from the viewpoint of the role of assessment and instruction as expressed in documents that describe the frameworks, as it seems that these two components of RTI are the most disparate between the U.S. and Finland.
