Servizio sociale internazionale, responsabilità locale e partecipazione comunitaria: un caso studio inTanzania.

2021

International social work is a field of professional practice that is widespread in various countries around the world, yet still little explored in the literature and little known as a specific field of action. Exploring its definition and its possible applications in practice, starting from the analysis of a social work case study within an international project, aims to encourage the consolidation of a flexible, inclusive and plural thinking and method, necessary both for social workers working abroad, or in international exchange projects, and for those working with foreign users, offering the opportunity to broaden horizons and at the same time to strengthen the roots of the profession.

Cyberbullying & Company. From Myths to Empirical Evidence

2015

Cyberbullying and other online risks have been given lately growing attention by popular media, policy makers, academics, parents and educators. Beyond any deterministic views of technology and its impact on individuals (particularly children) as well as beyond the mythological views and moral panic that often dominate public discourses about children and digital technologies, this chapter argues for a more evidence-based and multidimensional/contextual approach that locates cyberbullying within the complex network of children’s online activities, socio-demographic variables, parental, peer’s and teachers’ mediation, ICT country-specific regulation, educational systems, etc. Drawing from th…

Experiencing the Smart City Concept: the Challenge of Intelligent District

2016

Author(s): Luszczynska, Aleksandra; Hagger, Martin S; Banik, Anna; Horodyska, Karolina; Knoll, Nina; Scholz, Urte | Abstract: BackgroundThe superiority of an intervention combining two sets of theory-based behavior change techniques targeting planning and self-efficacy over an intervention targeting planning only or self-efficacy only has rarely been investigated.PurposeWe compared the influence of self-efficacy, planning, and self-efficacy+planning interventions with an education-based control condition on adolescents' body fat, assuming mediating effects of respective social cognitive variables and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA). A cognitive-behavioural intervention improves cognition in caregivers of people with autism spectrum disorder: A pilot study

2017

Abstract As postulated by the stress process model, chronically stressed individuals, such as caregivers of people with chronic psychological disorders, have poorer cognitive performance and higher age-related cognitive decline than individuals not exposed to chronic stress. When analysing this topic in caregivers, the majority of research has been conducted in populations in which the care recipient has dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease, while relatively few studies have analysed cognition in caregivers of offspring with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The main objective of this pilot study was to analyse the effect of a cognitive-behavioural intervention on cognition in caregivers of pe…

La evaluación multi-informante de la regulación emocional en edad preescolar: un estudio longitudinal

2017

There is a broad consensus today about the need to use multi-informant assessment, especially when dealing with young children. However, there have been no studies conducted to compare different informants assessing emotion regulation at an early age. The aim of this study was to inquire about the coincidence of parents and teachers in assessing children's emotion self-regulation and to assess the stability of this assessment over time. We assessed emotion self-regulation by parents (n=34) and teachers (n=87) in a group of 108 3-year-old children that we followed over three school years. The Emotion Regulation Checklist was used. The results show that both parents and teachers perceive a de…
