Towards gender awareness in couple therapy and in treatment of intimate partner violence

Gender is the most pervasive classification of individuals and thus strongly defines couple relationships. Cultural discourses on couple relationships reproduce hierarchical gender differences, and couple distress is often linked to gendered power inequalities. At worst, gender is the basis for intimate partner violence (IPV). Generally, however, therapeutic interventions do not address the issues of gender and gendered power. Lasten terveyskasvatukseen on paljon suosituksia. Päiväkodit noudattavat näitä suosituksia, mutta lastentarhanopettajien keinoista toteuttaa terveyskasvatusta ei ole tutkittu paljoa. Tämä tutkimus käsittelee lastentarhanopettajien keinoja toteuttaa ruoka- ja liikuntakasvatusta eri menetelmien pohjalta. Tutkimus on laadullinen tutkimus, joka on toteutettu sähköisellä kyselylomakkeella lastentarhanopettajille (N= 18) keväällä 2018. In the ?barri del mercat?, in the city of Valencia and very close to its Lonja, there is a building complex which is the object of this study. The research, carried out from the simple field of toponymy, to the constructive analysis, lead us to suppose that it is the building of the Valencian trade union of cloth-shearers. It can be seen how the building now camouflaged by other subsequent interventions, corresponds to a type that cannot be related to those usually built in the city of Valencia. This thesis is in the form of a monograph consisting of three distinct, but related studies. The three studies examined Grade 1 teachers’ knowledge and perceptions of reading instruction in classrooms in Namibia; and the use of GraphoGame in Afrikaans as a digital learning tool and as an intervention tool for struggling readers. Three data sets were collected: teachers (N = 132), children (N = 202) and struggling readers (N = 19). The results offered three main findings. This study explores the neurocognitive predictors of response to intervention with GraphoGame Rime, an adaptive software game designed to aid the learning of English phonics. A cohort of 398 children (aged 6 – 7 years) who had participated in a recent Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) of GraphoGame Rime in the United Kingdom were studied. Half were randomly assigned to play GraphoGame Rime (GG Rime) and the other half were assigned to Business As Usual (BAU).
