Este documento presenta la colección de carteles y fotografías de los conciertos que organizó el Club de Música y Jazz del Johnny, los cuales, actualmente, forman parte de la colección de la Biblioteca Histórica Maqués de Valdecilla. En el presente artículo se expone el proyecto realizado para su conservación, catalogación y almacenamiento. Este trabajo fue realizado por la autora del mismo durante la realización del TFM (Trabajo de Fin de Máster) del Máster en Conservación de Patrimonio Cultural de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Tässä kandidaatintutkielmassani tutkin jazzin ja improvisaation opetusta yläkoulussa ja lukiossa. Jazz on sekä koulumaailmassa että suomalaisten mielissä melko tuntematon musiikkityyli, vaikka sen merkitys populaarimusiikin historiassa on merkittävä. Väitän, että mahdollisuudet jazzin hyödyntämiseksi esimerkiksi improvisaatiossa ovat suuremmat, kuin mitä yleisesti luullaan. Näistä syistä valitsin tutkimuskohteeksi juuri jazzin. Uudet opetussuunnitelmat (POPS 2014 ja LOPS 2015) ovat juuri tulossa käyttöön. Besides the pure pleasure of watching a dance performance, dance as a whole-body movement is becoming increasingly popular for health-related interventions. However, the science-based evidence for improvements in health or well-being through dance is still ambiguous and little is known about the underlying neurophysiological mechanisms. This may be partly related to the fact that previous studies mostly examined the neurophysiological effects of imagination and observation of dance rather than the physical execution itself. Tonal Hierarchies in Jazz Improvisation

Statistical methods were used to investigate 18 bebop-styled jazz improvisations based on the so- called Rhythm Changes chord progression. The data were compared with results obtained by C. L. Krumhansl and her colleagues in empirical tests investigating the perceived stability of the tones in the chromatic scale in various contexts. Comparisons were also made with data on the statistical distribution of the 12 chromatic tones in actual European art music. It was found that the chorus- level hierarchies (measured over a whole chorus) are remarkably similar to the rating profiles obtained in empirical tests and to the relative frequencies of the tones in European art music. Empīriskajā daļā tiek pētīti džeza telpu interjeri Ņujorkā, Jaunorleānā, Čikāgā, Johanesburgā, Parīzē, Madridē, Kopenhāgenā un Rīgā, kā arī tiek intervēts bijušā kabarē/bāra ‘Artelis Gandrīz teātris’ īpašnieks. How to make people become Ambassadors of Jazz - A Comparative Case Study of Voluntary Jazz Concert Promoters in Agder

Master's thesis Music Management MU501 - University of Agder 2018 This study observes the comparative cases of two jazz clubs in the region of Agder, South of Norway. The cases investigated are the Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and voluntary associations (VOs); Kristiansand Jazzvesen (KJV) and Arendal Jazzklubb (AJ), that has slightly different organisational structures and environments.
