Los objetivos de este trabajo son conocer las dificultades de aprendizaje de la cosmología en el alumnado de Secundaria y realizar propuestas de intervención en clase para mejorar esta situación. Para la primera parte se ha realizado un cuestionario a 153 estudiantes distribuidos en los 6 cursos que abarca la educación Secundaria y se han analizado los resultados, mostrando que los estudiantes no entienden los conceptos más básicos de la cosmología. Para el segundo objetivo se ha diseñado un programa de actividades que se ha llevado a cabo en 2o y 4o E.S.O. y, dos semanas después, estos dos cursos han vuelto a hacer el cuestionario. Charged jet cross section and fragmentation in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV

We report the differential charged jet cross section and jet fragmentation distributions measured with the ALICE detector in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy √s=7 TeV. Jets with pseudorapidity |η|40 GeV/c, the pythia calculations also agree with the measured charged jet cross section. pythia6 simulations describe the fragmentation distributions to 15%. Larger discrepancies are observed for pythia8. SCOAP

Measurement of inclusive jet and dijet cross sections in proton-proton collisions at 7 TeV centre-of-mass energy with the ATLAS detector

Jet cross sections have been measured for the first time in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV using the ATLAS detector. The measurement uses an integrated luminosity of 17 nb−1 recorded at the Large Hadron Collider. The anti-k t algorithm is used to identify jets, with two jet resolution parameters, R=0.4 and 0.6. The dominant uncertainty comes from the jet energy scale, which is determined to within 7% for central jets above 60 GeV transverse momentum. Inclusive single-jet differential cross sections are presented as functions of jet transverse momentum and rapidity. We present first measurements of charged and neutral particle-flow correlations in pp collisions using the ATLAS calorimeters. Data were collected in 2009 and 2010 at centre-of-mass energies of 900 GeV and 7 TeV. Events were selected using a minimum-bias trigger which required a charged particle in scintillation counters on either side of the interaction point. Particle flows, sensitive to the underlying event, are measured using clusters of energy in the ATLAS calorimeters, taking advantage of their fine granularity. No Monte Carlo generator used in this analysis can accurately describe the measurements. The results are independent of those based on charged particles measured by the ATLAS …

El presente artículo tiene como finalidad la reflexión sobre cómo el contexto cultu¬ral de la modernidad ha condicionado la emergencia de la adicción en tanto que problema social. Desde esta perspectiva cultural las adicciones se entienden como un estilo de vida, esto es, una manera de adaptarse al mundo. Los fenómenos adictivos en este contexto sobrepasan el fenómeno de las drogas, abarcando así fenómenos hasta ahora conocidos bajo otros nombres pero con una dinámica adictiva similar a las toxicomanías.
