Jakamistalouteen perustuvat alustat liiketoiminnallisesta näkökulmasta
2017
Tutkielman tarkoitus on tutkia jakamistalouteen perustuvien alustojen liiketoimintamalleja ja niiden osia. Oleellista on määritellä avainkäsitteistö, jotta voidaan tutkia tarkemmin tutkielman varsinaista tavoitetta. Varsinainen tavoite on perehtyä tarkemmin, mitä tutkimus on osoittanut jakamistalouteen perustuvien alustojen liiketoimintamalleista. Avainkäsitteistöön kuuluvat jakamistalous, alusta ja liiketoimintamalli. Tutkimusmenetelmänä käytetään systemaattista kirjallisuuskatsausta. Tutkielmassa onnistuttiin erittelemään jakamistalouteen perustuvien alustojen liiketoimintamallien olennaisimmat osat. Yhtenäistä yleistettävissä olevaa liiketoimintamallia ei olemassa ol…
Polskie oddziały wojskowe w służbie rosyjskiej w latach 1793-1794. Przyczynki źródłowe
2017
The article discusses, on the basis both of the literaturę on the subject and archival materials preserved in two Russian archives, the fate of military units from the Crown and Lithuanian Army of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which in the spring-summer of 1793 were taken to the Russian service. Initially, they had ca. 24 thousand soldiers, but the Russian decided to disband some of the units, while reducing the number of others, thus the number of the servicemen decreased to 15 thousand. The least reduced was the garrison of Kamianets-Podilskyi, for in the service of Empress Catherine II stayed two almost non-reduced infantry regiments of the former Polish Army and part of artillery …
Auton yhteiskäytön ja omistamisen hyödyt jakamistaloudessa
2017
Kuluttajien tavoille ja tottumuksille saada tuotteita käyttöönsä on tullut useita vaihtoehtoja perinteisen tuotteiden omistamisen rinnalle, kun jakamistalous periaatteineen on alkanut levittäytyä useille eri liiketoiminnan alueille majoituksesta liikkumiseen. Omistamisen sijaan kuluttajat voivat halutessaan käyttää jakamiseen, vuokraamiseen ja yhteiskäyttöön pohjautuvia palveluita, joiden kautta on mahdollista saada tuote väliaikaisesti kuluttajan omaan käyttöön ilman sen omistamista. Usein omistaminen on yhä selkeästi suositumpi vaihtoehto enemmistölle kuluttajista, mutta jakamistalouteen perustuvien palveluiden käytön suosio on kasvamaan päin. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää mi…
Organisational and individual resources as antecedents of older nursing professionals’ organisational commitment : Investigating the mediating effect…
2021
Aim and objectives To investigate how organisational and individual resources are linked to older (50+) nursing professionals’ organisational commitment, and to examine the possible mediating role of the active use of selection, optimisation and compensation (SOC) strategies. Background Many healthcare organisations need to find ways to retain their older nursing professionals due to nursing shortage. Design To test a set of hypotheses, cross-sectional survey data (n = 396) were used. Data were analysed using correlation analysis and partial least-squares structural equation modelling. STROBE Statement for cross-sectional studies has been followed in this study. Results The results exhibite…
When is money not a currency? Developments from Finland of proto-community currencies
2020
The article is a case study of several digitally based schemes recently operating in Finland where some functions and properties of money are evident. While working effectively as designed, they do not fully meet the criteria of a well-functioning community currency. The schemes include: sysmä, a digitally based hyperlocal system of account introduced by the rural Sysmä municipality; Pisteet kotiin®, a housing association points system in the city of Tampere, copied from a working Dutch model; BookMooch, a global book-swapping site that has extended its operations throughout Finland. Explored in the article are the institutional enabling and inhibitory factors and implications for and from …

Search for heavy neutrinos with the T2K near detector ND280
2019
This paper reports on the search for heavy neutrinos with masses in the range 140<MN<493 MeV/c2 using the off-axis near detector ND280 of the T2K experiment. These particles can be produced from kaon decays in the standard neutrino beam and then subsequently decay in ND280. The decay modes under consideration are N→ℓ±απ∓ and N→ℓ+αℓ−β(−)ν(α,β=e,μ). A search for such events has been made using the Time Projection Chambers of ND280, where the background has been reduced to less than two events in the current dataset in all channels. No excess has been observed in the signal region. A combined Bayesian statistical approach has been applied to extract upper limits on the mixing elements of heav…
System Design Principles for Intergenerational Knowledge Sharing
2022
Up to four generations are potentially involved in education and workspaces. This means that people of different generations can increasingly learn together and share knowledge virtually in the digital age. Nevertheless, the principles for designing systems to support intergenerational knowledge sharing (IKS) are inconclusive. Our results demonstrate the value of applying design science research methodology to capture design principles for IKS systems. We articulate what design goals should be considered and bring more conceptual clarity to this phenomenon by presenting five design principles: a) positive personalization, b) progressive design ecosystem, c) effectual system design, d) itera…
The Accumulation Process of Knowledge in Family Firms
2007
This article aims to investigate how ‘knowledge-related human capital’ can be accumulated, i.e. created, shared and transferred, in family business over time. ‘Knowledge-related human capital’ is considered to be a combination of pure knowledge and skill, which family and non-family members working in the family firm have gained and developed through education and experience. Two wine producing family firms from Switzerland and a liqueur family firm from Italy are part of this research. We quote the most significant answers given by the interviewees in order to enable the reader to gain a clear understanding of the issues discussed, reflect upon them, and build his own opinions about them. …
