Hidden and self-excited attractors in radiophysical and biophysical models

One of the central tasks of investigation of dynamical systems is the problem of analysis of the steady (limiting) behavior of the system after the completion of transient processes, i.e., the problem of localization and analysis of attractors (bounded sets of states of the system to which the system tends after transient processes from close initial states). Tutkimme artikkelissamme ekologista ja affektiivista outouttamista suomalais-ruotsalaisessa spekulatiivista fiktiota ja Nordic noiria yhdistävässä televisiosarjassa White Wall (2020). Väitämme, että sarjan affektiivinen kokonaissävy muodostuu spekulatiivisen fiktion ja Nordic noirin lajityypillisten elementtien yhdistyessä, mikä rakentaa outouttavaa katsojakokemusta, jossa fiktiivisen maailman outous yhdistyy tosimaailman ekologisiin kysymyksiin. This article discusses the results of a reception study of three environmental films with a focus on emotional reactions and the films’ influence on the respondents’ environmental awareness. The short experimental film Valtakunnat/Realms (Finland, 2018) envisions post-human life, and the potential destruction that the planet is being driven towards. To Teach a Bird to Fly (Finland, 2020), a short documentary fiction film about a woman raising critically endangered birds, imagines a future where the effects of climate change have been reversed. This study explores the role of social work in disaster management in Finland and its relation to international disaster social work discussions. The aim is to obtain information on the role of social work in disasters in Finland and to conceptualize disaster social work to understand it better. The framework of disaster social work interventions and the concepts of vulnerability, resilience and social capital are used in analyzing and conceptualizing the role. Tulipalolla, jonka on arvioitu tuhonneen kolmeneljäsosaa Turun kaupungista syyskuussa 1827, oli tunnetusti laaja-alaiset vaikutukset kaupungin kehitykseen, sen asukkaisiin ja heidän toimeentuloonsa.
