Social welfare service and health care providers are in a key position to implement successful domestic violence (DV) interventions. However, it is known that DV intervention and prevention work is often lacking in coordination and continuity. In addition, the limited resources, hectic work pace, and changing practices negatively affect the development of successful ways to prevent and intervene in DV. Abstract Following calls for diverse and contextual perspectives of the rich lives of young children, their families and communities from/in the Global South, this paper presents critical reflections emerging from a three-year (2016-2019) communitybased Integrated Approach to Early Childhood Development (ECD) project implemented in the rural Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. Pro gradu -tutkielmassani olen tutkinut osallisuutta hankkeisiin ja sen vaikutuksia osallistuneihin paikallisiin. Kansalaisyhteiskunta on viime vuosina ollut useiden muutoksien äärellä, joista yksi on projektoituminen eli toiminnan järjestäminen projektien kautta. Projektien yleistyessä olen halunnut selvittää, millaisia vaikutuksia projekteilla on järjestöihin ja yksilöihin ruohojuuritasolla. Olen lähtenyt tutkimaan vaikutuksia LEADERjärjestelmän kautta, missä suurin osa hankkeiden osallistujista on yhdistyksiä ja muita kolmannen sektorin toimijoita. Abstract European industry, academia and potential end users for future solutions are widely involved in applying for European Union (EU) funding of research and innovation and implementation of the projects.
