Tämän laadullisen toimintatutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää musiikkiterapian mahdollisuuksia keskosten hoidossa suomalaisessa sairaalassa. Tavoitteena oli löytää osaston arkeen sopivia musiikkiterapeuttisia interventioita ja pohtia, miten musiikkiterapia soveltuisi suomalaiseen sairaalaympäristöön sekä kyseiselle osastolle. Tutkimus pyrki vastaamaan kysymyksiin, miten ja millä menetelmillä keskosten musiikkiterapiaa voisi soveltaa keskostenosastolla.
