Selvitys kierrätyspolttoainejakeiden ominaisuuksista ja soveltuvuudesta kaasutus-CHP-laitoksen polttoaineeksi

Työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää kirjallisuudesta eri kierrätyspolttoainejakeiden kemialliset koostumukset ja jakeiden sopivuus Lahti Energian (LE) uuden kaasutus-CHP-laitoksen polttoaineeksi. Tarkasteltaviksi jakeiksi valikoituivat aiemman kokemuksen perusteella tärkeiksi osoittautuneet kaupan ja teollisuuden jäte, rakennus- ja puujäte, kotitalousjäte sekä mahdollisena tulevaisuuden polttoaineena elektroniikkajäte. Koostumusselvitykset on suoritettu alkuainetasolla. Jakeiden alkuainepitoisuuksia verrattaessa, havaittiin niiden välillä selviä eroja. Kuluttajat kiertotaloudessa : Kiertotalouden kuluttajapalvelut -työpajan havaintoja

Tässä luvussa tarkastelemme Helsingin yliopiston Kuluttajatutkimuskeskuksen, Kulutustutkimuksen seuran ja ympäristöministeriön yhdessä järjestämän työpajan ”Kiertotalouden kuluttajapalvelut” havaintoja. Työpaja järjestettiin Helsingissä Kulutustutkimuksen seuran kevätseminaarin yhteydessä 5.5.2022. Siihen kutsuttiin akateemisia tutkijoita, joiden pääasiallinen tutkimusala on kulutustutkimus. Työpajaan osallistui yhteensä yhdeksän tutkijaa neljästä eri suomalaisesta yliopistosta ja kaksi tutkijataustaista kiertotalouden asiantuntijaa ympäristöministeriöstä. Development of fast analysis methods for extractives in papermaking process waters

A fast analysis method with an online sample enrichment technique for the analysis of resin and fatty acids present in papermaking process waters was developed. This method was based on atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and mass spectrometry (MS) for the detection of [M-H]- ions of compounds of interest. The method was applied to the control of the most prevalent resin (dehydroabietic and abietic) and fatty (palmitic, stearic, oleic, and linolenic) acid levels in papermaking process waters. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa on perehdytty elektroniikkajätteen ja erityisesti piirilevyjätteen koostumukseen ja kierrätykseen. Useita erilaisia tekniikoita piirilevyjen kierrätykseen on tarkasteltu. Sähkö- ja elektroniikkalaitteiden lyhentynyt käyttöikä synnyttää valtavat määrät e-jätettä. E-jätteen kierrätys on tärkeää niin materiaalien kuin metallien talteen ottamiseksi. Erityisesti jalometallien talteenotto on kiinnostavaa niiden taloudellisen arvon vuoksi. In this Master’s thesis, the future of bottle recycling in the United States of America will be examined through interest, incentive and an infrastructure (iii) model. One of the American ways to recycle bottles, namely, the Dream Machine initiative, will be compared to the Finnish bottle recycling system. It will shed light through surveys done from Finnish high school students and randomly selected Americans about bottle recycling behaviour. Ecosocial Innovations in Europe : How Social and Solidarity Economy Actors Can Promote the Sustainable Development Goals

This paper focuses on small-scale social and solidarity economy (SSE) actors for a transformation towards sustainable societies. These actors’ ecosocial innovations (ESIs) - for example, food cooperatives, reuse centres, and alternative mobility projects - successfully combine all dimensions of sustainability in new ecosocial practices. By inventing and establishing these practices on the local level, the ESIs promote Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 on employment and decent work, and also strengthen the implementation of other goals.
