Koko kylä kantaa - kiintymyssuhde namibialaisessa todellisuudessa : kolmen äidin haastattelututkimus

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli haastatteluaineiston pohjalta tarkastella namibialaista kiintymyssuhdetodellisuutta. Tutkimuksessa pyrittiin tarkastelemaan länsimaisista käytännöistä eroavien namibialaisten lastenhoitotapojen merkitystä kiintymyssuhteen laatuun. Samoin pyrittiin ottamaan huomioon kansallisten ja yksilötason traumojen vaikutus kiintymyssuhteeseen. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli valottaa namibialaista näkökulmaa kiintymyssuhteeseen kolmen äidin ja heidän lastensa välillä. Maternal Affection Moderates the Associations Between Parenting Stress and Early Adolescents’ Externalizing and Internalizing Behavior

The present study investigated the role of parenting stress in early adolescents’ externalizing and internalizing behavior and, particularly, the moderating effect of maternal affection on these associations. The data of 992 early adolescents ([Formula: see text]; 454 girls) and their mothers during the transition from primary school to lower secondary school were analyzed. The results showed that when maternal affection was low, parenting stress was not related to the changes in early adolescents’ externalizing or internalizing behavior. A life time in exile : Finnish war children in Sweden after the war : an interview study with a psychological and psychodynamic approach

This study is based upon in-depth interviews with ten Finnish war children who were evacuated to Sweden during the Second World War (1939 -1944) and who did not return permanently to Finland after the war. This interpretative and qualitative interview study of war children seems to be the only one of its kind. The interviews were carried out in 2007 in Stockholm. At the time of the evacuation nine of the children were between two and five years of age and one was seven years old. At the time of the interviews they were approaching their seventieth birthday. Abstract This chapter compares music listening with the infant’s experience of care. Several scholars have argued that music can be used for scaffolding one’s self-experience. Developmental psychologists, in turn, maintain a wide consensus over the claim that, in early interaction, the attuned caregiver supports and modifies the infant’s self-experience in various ways. The chapter brings these phenomena together, illustrating how the examination of the early self/other relation can teach us something important concerning the listener/music relation.
