When a new technological product launching fails: A multi-method approach of facial recognition and E-WOM sentiment analysis

Abstract The dual aim of this research is, firstly, to analyze the physiological and unconscious emotional response of consumers to a new technological product and, secondly, link this emotional response to consumer conscious verbal reports of positive and negative product perceptions. In order to do this, biometrics and self-reported measures of emotional response are combined. Currently, physicians have to deal with an ensemble of systems and software tools in the clinical environment, such as clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSSs), Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACSs). Building collective capabilities through ICT in a mountain region of Nepal: where social capital leads to collective action

In this paper, we explore how ICT can lead to development specifically human development in Sen's capability approach. In answering to the critique that Sen views capabilities as the individual, we incorporate the societal level by adding collective capabilities. We propose that ICT helps to create or enhance SC of communities which in turn can lead to development by building collective capabilities through collective action. To illustrate, we conducted a qualitative case study of an ICT initiative in a remote mountain region of Nepal. Balancing Organisational Design Principles: A Pragmatic Scandinavian Approach to CSR

One can argue that Scandinavian countries have much of the essence of CSR incorporated in their culture and society. We use Norway as an example for this argument, by looking at the development of work-life since the 50s. Further, we use one highly industrialised area, Raufoss, as further proof of our claim of the lack of separate popularity of CSR, as it is already covered in the context of society. However, this is not the same as saying that there are no challenges to this model. One of the most challenging topics is innovation: this should be socially responsible innovation. The Norwegian, social model can seem to promote stability, so that people and companies become risk averse.
