The use of qualitative research methods enables us to describe and understand patients' experience of, and attitudes to, healthcare. The aim of the present phenomenographic study was to identify and describe the contextual nature of the conceptions of patients with low back pain of their encounters in the HCS. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our lives in many ways since the end of 2019. This paper investigates the everyday lives of Finnish older persons during the first three months of the pandemic when they were required to stay in “quarantine-like conditions.” The study utilises the ‘sociology of nothing’ in exploring the meanings of nothingness in the everyday lives of older people; that is, the things, events and people that were absent from their lives because of the pandemic. Different personality traits respond differently to unfavourable life situations. Unemployment can have several negative social, economic, and domestic consequences. Many people use social media for a variety of reasons. The aim of this study is to examine the way different personality traits respond to Facebook in the period of unemployment. Data was obtained from 3,002 unemployed respondents in Nigeria. The study used regression model to analyse the data. Analysoin tutkimuksessani Alison Bechdelin omaelämäkerrallista sarjakuvaromaania Fun Home. A Family Tragicomic (2006). Fun Home on omaelämäkerran lisäksi elämäkerta Alisonin isästä, Bruce Bechdelistä. Bruce tekee itsemurhan Alisonin ollessa noin kaksikymmentävuotias ja jättää jälkeensä joukon vastauksettomia kysymyksiä – Fun Homessa Alison pohtii näitä kysymyksiä ja vertailee Brucen elämäntarinaa omaansa. Alison identifioituu lesboksi ja epäilee myös Brucen olleen homoseksuaali. Pro gradu- tutkimukseni tarkoituksena on ymmärtää ja kuvata nuorten, joilla on CP- vamma, kokemuksia pitkäaikaisesta fysioterapiasta fenomenologis- hermeneuttisen tutkimusasetelman kautta. Tutkimus liittyy laajempaan Jyväskylän yliopiston koordinoimaan Potilasohjaus fysioterapiassa – projektiin ja sillä on tutkimuslupa HUS:n eettiseltä toimikunnalta. Tutkimukseen osallistui 10 nuorta, joilla on ollut fysioterapiaa pienestä lapsesta lähtien, 16-22 -vuotta. Aineisto kerättiin avoimien yksilöllisten haastattelujen avulla ja analysoitiin Spiegelbergin (1982) ja Laineen (2010) aineistoanalyysimenetelmän kautta.
