Suomen soveltavan kielitieteen yhdistyksen AFinLAn 50-vuotisjuhlasymposium järjestettiin 11.–13.11.2021 Jyväskylän yliopistossa. Yhdistys perustettiin vuonna 1970, mutta koronapandemian vuoksi juhlasymposiumin järjestämistä siirrettiin vuodella. 50-vuotisjuhlasymposiumissa tavoitteena oli luoda katsaus soveltavan kielentutkimuksen historiaan ja nykyhetkeen sekä pohtia myös tulevaa teemalla “Kieli, muutos ja yhteiskunta”.
