Management of natural resources at the regional level is a compromise between a variety of objectives and interests. At the local level, management of the forests depends upon the ownership structure, with forest owners using their forests as they see fit. A potential conflict occurs if the forest owners’ management decisions are counter to the interests of society in general or the industry that relies on the forest resource as their raw material. Environmental planning for of the maintenance of different conservation objectives should take into account multiple contrasting criteria based on alternative uses of the landscape. We develop new concepts and approaches to describe and measure conflicts among conservation objectives and for resolving them via multiobjective optimization. To measure conflicts we introduce a compatibility index that quantifies how much targeting a certain conservation objective affects the capacity of the landscape for providing another objective. Abstract In 1648, an uprising broke out in Ukraine that belonged to Poland at the time. The war was not successful for the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Cossacks and Tartars, who were helping them during the war, surrounded Zbaraż, about whose defense everyone knew in the country. King Jan Kazimierz decided to set out to rescue the besieged fortress. It was decided that not only Polish troops, but also soldiers of Lithuania would set out for Ukraine. Maģistra darbā “Nelokālas spēles ar konfliktējošām interesēm” tiek apskatīta kvantu mehānikas nelokalitāte un nelokālu spēļu jēdziens. Tiek apskatīta plaši zināmā CHSH spēle, kurā spēlētājiem ir kopīgas intereses un citas spēles, kurās spēlētāju intereses ir konfliktējošas. Tiek aprēķināti iespējamie laimesti, izmantojot klasiskās un kvantu stratēģijas. Darbā arī tiek izveidotas jaunas nelokālas spēles ar konfliktējošām interesēm papildus literatūrā jau aprakstītajām, un parādīts, ka arī tajās kvantu stratēģijas var dot ieguvumus.

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate Morocco’s privatization policy based on the opinions of final-year high-school students (n = 103) that were studying in either public or private schools. This was examined using a cross-sectional study design in which a structured, Likert scale questionnaire was administered at a night school in Casablanca, Morocco, where highschool students can take extra classes in preparation for their final year exam. The results were analyzed quantitatively by comparing the group means with an independent samples ttest, using an alpha level of 0.05.
