This study investigates the relationship between words of foreign origin and expressivity. The material was taken from the archive of the Dictionary of Finnish dialects. It consists of four word groups with several variants resembling each other in phonological shape. Each word group has Russian and expressive features. The aim was to show that Russian influence as well as expressivity may be considered as continuums and that there is no sharp boundary between them. Darba mērķis ir papildināt sistēmas KLAPS tīmekļa saskarni ar papildus tiesību piešķiršanas iespēju, izstrādāt darba uzdevumu sinhronizāciju starp KLAPS sistēmu un Redmine rīku un veikt citus sistēmas papildinājumus pēc lietotāju vai projekta pārvaldnieka definētajām vajadzībām.

Eye gaze as a resource in handling trouble around mobile devices in classroom interaction

This paper offers an insight into how interaction is multimodally built during taskaccomplishment around mobile devices in classroom interaction. More specifically, it investigates eye gaze as a resource in recruiting help and pursuing response from peers during interactional or task-related trouble sequences. The data come from video-recorded lessons at Finnish comprehensive schools where mobile devices are used for learning tasks. Drawing on multimodal conversation analysis, the article demonstrates that gaze is employed by pupils as one of the first resources to display and address trouble.
