Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tunnistaa, kuinka tarina Irakin 2003 sodan käänteistä muodostui julkisuuteen. Tutkimuksen näkökulma on suuren yleisön siinä mielessä, että aineistona käytetään sanomalehtitekstejä liittyen kyseiseen sotaan. Toisaalta näkökulmana ja lähtökohtana on narratiiviteoria, jonka kautta aineistoanalyysi kulkee. Tutkimuksen aineiston muodostaa 2003 maalis-toukokuiden Helsingin Sanomat: tämän aikajakson lehdet on käyty kokonaisuudessaan läpi. Aluksi perehdytään narratiivin teoriaan työkalujen luomiseksi aineistoanalyysiä varten. Tutkin Pro Gradu-työssäni kahta lobbausorganisaatiota. Suoritin materiaalinkeruun käyttämällä kyselylomaketta vuoden 2014 kevään ja syksyn aikana. Kuvailen materiaalin avulla millaisia organisaatiot ovat ja miten ne toimivat. Lisäksi tutkin materiaalin avulla niitä organisaatioiden ominaisuuksia, jotka vaikuttavat organisaatioiden differentiaatio- ja integraatio tekijöihin. Päätän tutkimukseni analyysiin tärkeimmistä differentiaatio- ja integraatiotekijöistä ja tutkin miten ne vaikuttavat organisaatioihin niiden kohdatessa muutoksia toimintaympäristöissään. Whether politics is a separate sphere or an aspect of human action is a subject of academic controversy. I focus here on the political aspect of action, which is not exclusive of other aspects. There are no ‘naturally political’ issues nor is there anything completely devoid of a political aspect. I am now taking a step backwards to discuss the seemingly simple ‘political or not’ question, as compared to the ‘political in which sense’ question, which I have discussed elsewhere. A comparative case study of Sony Computer Entertainment's crisis communication efforts during two PlayStation Network crises

This study is about the crisis communication efforts of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) during two crises. Their PlayStation Network online service was hacked in 2011 and crashed by artificially high traffic in 2014. The purpose of the study is to examine the communication strategies of SCE and the development those strategies underwent between the two crises. This is done by comparing their crisis communication strategies with the Contingency Theory of strategic conflict management. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tarkastella refleksiivisen modernin tuottamia elämänmuutostilanteita biografisen oppimisen mahdollisuuksina. Lähestymistavan perustana oli ajatus modernin laaja-alaisesta murroksesta refleksiiviseksi, notkeaksi tai toiseksi moderniksi, mikä yksilön tasolla näkyi myös oppimiseen liittyvänä muutoksena. Yhteiskunnan rakenteiden ja instituutioiden tasolla murros tuotti yksilölle rajuja elämänmuutoksia, epävarmuutta ja ennakoimattomuutta, jotka pakottivat yksilön sopeutumaan jatkuvaan muutokseen.
