Tutkin Pro Gradu-työssäni kahta lobbausorganisaatiota. Suoritin materiaalinkeruun käyttämällä kyselylomaketta vuoden 2014 kevään ja syksyn aikana. Kuvailen materiaalin avulla millaisia organisaatiot ovat ja miten ne toimivat. Lisäksi tutkin materiaalin avulla niitä organisaatioiden ominaisuuksia, jotka vaikuttavat organisaatioiden differentiaatio- ja integraatio tekijöihin. Päätän tutkimukseni analyysiin tärkeimmistä differentiaatio- ja integraatiotekijöistä ja tutkin miten ne vaikuttavat organisaatioihin niiden kohdatessa muutoksia toimintaympäristöissään. A comparative case study of Sony Computer Entertainment's crisis communication efforts during two PlayStation Network crises

This study is about the crisis communication efforts of Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) during two crises. Their PlayStation Network online service was hacked in 2011 and crashed by artificially high traffic in 2014. The purpose of the study is to examine the communication strategies of SCE and the development those strategies underwent between the two crises. This is done by comparing their crisis communication strategies with the Contingency Theory of strategic conflict management. AbstractOrganizational research constitutes a differentiated, complex and fragmented field with multiple contradicting and incommensurable theories that make fundamentally different claims about the social and organizational reality.
