Celem artykułu jest pokazanie, jaki obraz homoseksualności oraz osób homoseksualnych funkcjonuje współcześnie w konserwatywnym tygodniku ,,Gazeta Polska”. Analiza oparta jest na artykułach opublikowanych od stycznia do maja 2021 r. The article aims at combining two methodological approaches, namely corpus linguistics and discourse studies. Both of these approaches are present in corpus-assisted discourse studies (CADS) which makes use of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. First, an attempt is made to discuss the differences and similarities of these two traditions based on Leech’s (2000) listing. However, it turns out that this listing does not include all necessary viewpoints, and those are further discussed. This was assessed by using the concept of governmentality and multiculturalism as the theoretical framework of the study. This study is about development discourses and agents of the countries with low Human Development Index (HDI) in Africa. It is based on six UN Post-2015 national consultations. These six nations are Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Liberia and Zambia. The criteria of data selection involve the level of HDI, language, format of the report and geographical location. Dla Habermasa sfera publiczna jest centrum życia społeczno-politycznego. Jest ona niejako buforem między społeczeństwem a płaszczyzną władzy i polityki. Właściwy jej kształt zapewnia możliwość trafnej oceny problemów i przekazywania ich do centrów decyzyjnych władzy. Sfera publiczna jest sferą prywatnych ludzi gromadzących się w publiczność, jednak nie jako biernych widzów, ale aktywnie włączających się w definiowanie i rozwiązywanie wspólnie tematyzowanych problemów. Jej ideał Habermas upatruje w XVIII-wiecznej sferze mieszczańsko-obywatelskiej, po której jednak następuje jej rozpad. Media stają się elementem opiniotwórczym i manipulującym publicznością.

Tutkimus tarkastelee Helsingin Sanomissa vuosien 2008 ja 2013 välillä julkaistuja työttömien mielipidekirjoituksia. Tutkimustehtävänä on ymmärtää millaisia sosiokulttuurisia merkityksiä ja arvoja työlle ja työttömyydelle annetaan. Keskeisinä tutkimuskäsitteinä toimivat työ ja työttömyys, jotka määritellään laajasti aiempaa tutkimuskirjallisuutta hyödyntäen. Tutkimuksen metodologia pohjaa diskurssianalyysiin. Diskurssianalyysin avulla luokittelen tutkimusaineiston diskursseiksi, joita tarkastelen tutkimuksen analyysivaiheessa.
