Stability conditions and related filtrations for $(G,h)$-constellations

2017

Given an infinite reductive algebraic group $G$, we consider $G$-equivariant coherent sheaves with prescribed multiplicities, called $(G,h)$-constellations, for which two stability notions arise. The first one is analogous to the $\theta$-stability defined for quiver representations by King and for $G$-constellations by Craw and Ishii, but depending on infinitely many parameters. The second one comes from Geometric Invariant Theory in the construction of a moduli space for $(G,h)$-constellations, and depends on some finite subset $D$ of the isomorphy classes of irreducible representations of $G$. We show that these two stability notions do not coincide, answering negatively a question raise…

Analytic Bergman operators in the semiclassical limit

2018

Transposing the Berezin quantization into the setting of analytic microlocal analysis, we construct approximate semiclassical Bergman projections on weighted $L^2$ spaces with analytic weights, and show that their kernel functions admit an asymptotic expansion in the class of analytic symbols. As a corollary, we obtain new estimates for asymptotic expansions of the Bergman kernel on $\mathbb{C}^n$ and for high powers of ample holomorphic line bundles over compact complex manifolds.

Reconnoitering the Role of Long-Noncoding RNAs in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Descriptive Review

2021

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common form of hereditary cardiomyopathy. It is characterized by an unexplained non-dilated hypertrophy of the left ventricle with a conserved or elevated ejection fraction. It is a genetically heterogeneous disease largely caused by variants of genes encoding for cardiac sarcomere proteins, including MYH7, MYBPC3, ACTC1, TPM1, MYL2, MYL3, TNNI3, and TNNT23. Preclinical evidence indicates that the enhanced calcium sensitivity of the myofilaments plays a key role in the pathophysiology of HCM. Notably, this is not always a direct consequence of sarcomeric variations but may also result from secondary mutation-driven alterations. Long non-coding R…

Quantum deformations of singletons and of free zero-mass fields

1993

We consider quantum deformations of the real symplectic (or anti-De Sitter) algebra sp(4), ℝ ≅ spin(3, 2) and of its singleton and (4-dimensional) zero-mass representations. For q a root of −1, these representations admit finite-dimensional unitary subrepresentations. It is pointed out that Uq(sp(4, ℝ)), unlike Uq(su(2, 2)), contains Uq(sl2) as a quantum subalgebra.

Some classes of quasi *-algebras

2022

In this paper we will continue the analysis undertaken in [1] and in [2] [20] our investigation on the structure of Quasi-local quasi *-algebras possessing a sufficient family of bounded positive tracial sesquilinear forms. In this paper it is shown that any Quasi-local quasi *-algebras (A, A0), possessing a ”sufficient state” can be represented as non-commutative L2- spaces.

Second-generation Langerhans cells originating from epidermal precursors are essential for CD8+ T cell priming.

2014

Abstract In vivo studies questioned the ability of Langerhans cells (LCs) to mediate CD8+ T cell priming. To address this issue, we used intradermal immunization with plasmid DNA, a system in which activation of CD8+ T cells depends on delayed kinetics of Ag presentation. We found that dendritic cells (DCs) located in the skin at the time of immunization have limited ability to activate CD8+ T cells. This activity was mediated by a second generation of DCs that differentiated in the skin several days after immunization, as well as by lymph node–resident DCs. Intriguingly, CD8+ T cell responses were not affected following treatment with clodronate liposomes, immunization of CCR2−/− mice, or …

Amazing IL-9: revealing a new function for an “old” cytokine

2012

Th9 cells are a subset of CD4+ Th cells that produce the pleiotropic cytokine IL-9. IL-9/Th9 can function as both positive and negative regulators of immune response, but the role of IL-9/Th9 in tumor immunity is unknown. We examined the role of IL-9/Th9 in a model of pulmonary melanoma in mice. Lack of IL-9 enhanced tumor growth, while tumor-specific Th9 cell treatment promoted stronger antitumor responses in both prophylactic and therapeutic models. Th9 cells also elicited strong host antitumor CD8+ CTL responses by promoting Ccl20/Ccr6-dependent recruitment of DCs to the tumor tissues. Subsequent tumor antigen delivery to the draining LN resulted in CD8+ T cell priming. In agreement with…

L'attenzione sarà, in particolare, focalizzata sui problemi relativi all'acquisizione delle variazioni intonative dell'italiano e, dunque, de…
