Euroopan unionin verkko- ja tietoturvadirektiivi, eli NIS-direktiivi, annettiin heinäkuussa 2016 ja sitä on sovellettava jäsenvaltioissa viimeistään 10. toukokuuta 2018. The objective of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework for measuring the effectiveness of social media marketing communications. Specifically, we study whether the existing marketing communications performance metrics are still valid in the changing digitalised communications landscape, or whether it is time to rethink them, or even to devise entirely new metrics. This article considers the meaning of the participants’ home as an interview context when studying sensitive family issues. The article is based on two qualitative family studies by the authors on foster children’s perspectives on their home and their family relations and client families’ experiences of preventive family support. Both studies address sensitive family issues, in particular Finnish child welfare. The present study focuses on the International Master’s Degree Programs (IMDP) of the University of Jyväskylä and issues related to English-medium instruction (EMI). At the core of the present study are the IMDP students’ conceptualizations of, and reflections on, academic English. Furthermore, the study examines the IMDP students’ reported language gains in academic English as well as the internal and external factors to which the students’ attribute these gains, or the lack of them. This paper is based on the grounded theory study, in which experienced music therapy clinicians were interviewed and their conception of an initial assessment were examined in detail. The main result of the study is a qualitative synthesis of initial assessment procedures, including the description of the process how a therapist gains his/her understanding of a client during an assessment period. In practice, an overall structure and a setting of assessment sessions enable practical activities, which are client-centered and usually non-structured.
