Durante l'undicesima edizione del Festivaletteratura di Mantova, nel settembre 2007, Wole Soyinka, insieme alla studiosa e traduttrice Alessandra Di Maio, ha ripercorso la sua carriera poetica, spiegandone svolte e sviluppi. In questa sede si riportano due delle sue poesie più note in traduzione -- "Conversazione telefonica" e "I figli di questa terra" -- che coprono idealmente l'arco della sua produzione poetica, dalla gioventù all'eta matura.

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have good growth capacities on various food matrices and produce very diverse enzymatic activities which are notably capable of positively modifying the organoleptic properties of fermented foods. Therefore, the selection of the LAB starters possessing good metabolic abilities and interesting enzymatic activities towards the plant matrix could improve the aroma profiles of fermented foods. The main objective of this study was to enhance the aroma profiles of fermented tomatoes by using the biotechnological pathway. El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar la presencia de drogas en el cine de Pedro Almodóvar tal como se hizo anteriormente con sus trece primeras películas. La muestra estuvo formada por sus últimas cuatro películas: 'Hable con ella' (2002), 'La mala educación' (2004), 'Volver' (2006) y 'Los abrazos rotos' (2009). Se diseñaron cuatro plantillas para analizar las variables: duración de las escenas en las que se consume, alude o aparecen drogas; tipo de droga; perfi l del personaje consumidor; situación o motivo de consumo; consecuencias del consumo. In Placenten verschiedener Altersstufen wurde nach der Methode vonAnson die Kathepsinaktivitat bestimmt. Dabei zeigte sich, das gegenuber der Fruhgraviditat die Aktivitat am Ende der Schwangerschaft deutlich erniedrigt ist. Bemerkenswert ist die Gruppe der echten Schwangerschaftsubertragungen, die die niedrigsten Werte aufwiesen. Die Differenzen zwischen den einzelnen Gruppen sind statistisch signifikant. Die Bedeutung der Fermentaktivitat fur das Wachstum wird diskutiert.
Design of an FBG based-on sensor device for large displacement deformation

This article deals with the modeling of a strain-displacement transducer conceived for extending the FBG measurement range. The intrinsic fragility of the optical fiber limits their application to cases characterized by relatively small deformations. To extend the employ to the large displacement field (i.e. morphing applications), a dedicated device was conceived, constituted by a circular ring connected to the structure and laterally integrated with a FBG sensor. This device was mathematically modeled minimizing the potential energy this way arriving at a description of the displacement and deformation field along the curvilinear abscissa.
