Background. Painful shoulder syndrome is a common condition in society. Most patients experience pain and reduced mobility of the affected limb, which can have an impact on the quality of life. This report presents a case of a patient with pain and reduced range of motion in the left shoulder. Aim of the study. The study aim was to evaluate the efficacy of dry needling in the treatment of painful shoulder syndrome, based on functional measures of pain, disability and range of motion. Case report. We continue the ongoing dialogue in AMLE on business school hubs and addresses from Rogmans (2019, this issue) by evaluating the applicability of Dunning’s OLI advantages—Ownership (O), Location (L), Internalization (I)—in explaining Dubai’s emergence as a global education hub. Because business schools typically possess few transferable Ownership-advantages, Dunning’s OLI advantages theory appears simplistic and decontextualized when applied to the global business school field. This commentary contributes to existing research on business school hubs by providing some guiding points for future discussions seeking to develop a better understanding of international branch campuses. peerReviewed

This thesis covers three separate but related studies. The first, a questionnaire survey of infant feeding practices in two nearby European regions (Dijon, France and Aalen, Germany) reports between- and withinregion differences in breastfeeding duration and variety of vegetables offered early in weaning. This survey identified the level and rate of vegetable variety and the specific foods to use in a second study. The 2nd study examined the effects of breast- or formula-feeding and different levels of vegetable variety (no, low or high) early in weaning on acceptance (intake and liking) of new foods. Pro gradu-tutkielmani käsittelee miedosta ja keskivahvasta mallasjuomasta käytyjen eduskuntakeskustelujen retoriikkaa kieltolain lopussa sekä uuden väkijuomalain alkuvuosina. Kieltolaki kielsi kaikkien yli kaksi tilavuusprosenttia sisältävien alkoholijuomien käytön muihin kuin lääkinnällisiin tarkoituksiin ja sen purkamisen jälkeen Suomessa monopolisoitiin kaikki alkoholimyynti. Keskustelua mallasjuomista käytiin eritoten kieltolain lopussa, kun markkinoille haluttiin tuoda mieto 2,25% olut. The Act on Energy Efficiency came into force in Finland on 1st January 2015. One of the law’s obligations requires large enterprises to enhance and report their energy efficiency performance with an energy audit every four years. The paper addresses a puzzle resulting from the current global state of alert: the coronavirus pandemic brought us back to the world of the allegedly sovereign nation states with borders and national governments in charge, yet in fact, this retrieved sovereignty looks very vulnerable and precarious. We explain this controversy through a triad of concepts—sovereignty, governmentality, and post-liberalism—that we apply to an analysis of a corona-imposed state of emergency in Estonia and Finland. The chapter, based on an ongoing qualitative study, provides answers to the following questions: what are the case organizations’ rationales in developing mobile banking services? how are customer perspectives considered in developing them? and what are the implications of digitalization and m-banking for the bank and the client? Based on the findings, m-banking is seen to allow ubiquitous availability and efficiency of service provision, offering a sound rationale for their development. The present research employed mixed-methods approach to further theorise distributed leadership and to investigate its manifestations in Finnish and Shanghai schools. The whole research comprised two phases. The first phase contained a meta-analysis (Sub-study I), which systematically reviewed 85 key distributed leadership articles published between 2002 and 2013. The meta-analysis identified two main research paradigms: the descriptive-analytical paradigm and the prescriptive-normative paradigm. Cartels Uncovered

How many cartels are there? The answer is important in assessing the efficiency of competition policy. We present a Hidden Markov Model that answers the question, taking into account that often we do not know whether a cartel exists in an industry or not. Our model identifies key policy parameters from data generated under different competition policy regimes and may be used with time-series or panel data. We take the model to data from a period of legal cartels - Finnish manufacturing industries 1951 - 1990. Our estimates suggest that by the end of the period, almost all industries were cartelized.
