Typhlodromips jurmoensis ; (Acari: Mesostigmata: Amblyseiinae), a new species from the archipelago of SW Finland

A new species belonging to the genus Typhloromips De Leon, 1965 is described. It was collected from Calluna moorland soil on Jurmo, a remote island in the SW archipelago of Finland. Typhlodromips herbarius (Wainstein, 1960) is considered a senior synonym of T.tenuis (Westerboer, 1963), syn.n. A key is given to related species with a similar spermathecal structure. peerReviewed

1. The freshwater pearl mussel Margaritifera margaritifera is threatened throughout its Holarctic range, but the occurrence of this species is insufficiently mapped. For the conservation of M. margaritifera, it is important to identify populations more comprehensively. 2. The freshwater pearl mussel Margaritifera margaritifera (FPM) is an endangered unionid which has a glochidium larva that attaches to the gills of Atlantic salmon Salmo salar or brown trout S. trutta, although some FPM populations have been shown to exclusively attach to only one of these species. Context Habitat loss is a major threat to biodiversity. It can create temporal lags in decline of species in relation to destruction of habitat coverage. Plant species specialized in semi-natural grasslands, especially meadows, often express such extinction debt. Objectives We studied habitat loss and fragmentation of meadows and examined whether the changes in meadow coverage had caused an extinction debt on vascular plants. Työn tarkoitus. Tämän työn tarkoituksena on jääkiekon lajianalyysin perusteiden kuvaaminen, sekä jääkiekkojoukkueen valmennuksen ohjelmointi ja harjoittaminen fyysiseltä, tekniseltä, psyykkiseltä ja pelitaktiselta puolelta. Työ koostuu kahdesta osiosta. Ensimmäisen osion tarkoituksena on tuoda esille lajianalyysin kannalta oleelliset asiat jääkiekon vaatimuksista. Juoksuharrastuksesta eriytynyt polkujuoksu on suosiotaan vahvasti 2010-luvulla kasvattanut liikuntamuoto. Käsillä oleva tutkimus on ensimmäinen suomalaista polkujuoksuharrastusta kartoittava liikuntasosiologinen tutkimus. Polkujuoksuharrastusta taustoitetaan teoreettisesti vapaa-ajan elämäntavan, luontoliikunnan sekä kestävyysliikunnan ilmiönä. Jokainen on varmasti joskus lukenut oman aurinkomerkkinsä horoskooppeja, ja horoskooppia voidaankin pitää vakiintuneena tekstilajina eli genrenä. Horoskooppeja on tutkittu hyvin vähän, ja haluan omalta osaltani tehdä tieteellistä tutkimusta näinkin arkisesta tekstilajista kuin horoskooppi on. Tämän ryhmän koostuessa suvullisesti ja suvuttomasti lisääntyvistä sekä eri ploidioita omaavista komplekseista perinteisen lajikäsitteen soveltaminen on erittäin hankala. Polyploidiset, suvuttomasti lisääntyvät muodot on useimmiten yhdistetty synonyymin Carassius (auratus) gibelio alla, joka on yleisesti tunnettu hopearuutanana. Diploidit, suvullisesti lisääntyvät muodot luokitellaan usein samaan lajiin kuuluviksi.
