Abstract The genus Isometocoris Carvalho and Sailer is reviewed and I. penicillus, new species, from Brazil is described. Diagnoses of the genus and included species I. blantoni Carvalho and Sailer and I. penicillus, n. sp., are given; a color adult habitus photo of both Isometocoris species, male genitalic drawings of Isometocoris penicillus n. sp., and scanning electron micrographs of selected structures of I. blantoni are provided; and an identification key is given to help distinguish the two included species. Nine new species, Xenocylapus aculeatus sp. nov., X. aquilonius sp. nov., X. bicolor sp. nov., X. globulus sp. nov., X. heissi sp. nov., X. panamaensis sp. nov., X. serrulatus sp. nov., X. tenuis sp. nov., and X. waorani sp. nov., are described from Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama. The plant bug genus Cylapocoris Carvalho, 1954 is revised. Seven new species: Cylapocoris costaricaensis sp. nov., C. cucullatus sp. nov., C. fulvus sp. nov., C. laevigatus sp. nov., C. marmoreus sp. nov., C. plectipennis sp. nov., and C. simplex sp. nov. are described from Costa Rica, Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela. The genus Adcylapocoris Carvalho, 1989 is synonymized with Cylapocoris . Five species: C. castaneus (Carvalho, 1989), C. funebris (Distant, 1883), C. pilosus Carvalho, 1954 , C. sulinus Carvalho & Gomes 1971 , and C. tiquiensis Carvalho, 1954 are redescribed. Introduction: Limiting the post-weaning intake of the young rabbit is now known to improve its resistance to digestive troubles (Gidenne et al. 2012), while the feed conversion is improved. In contrast a poor hygiene of housing is supposed to have a negative impact on performances and health, as demonstrated in the piglet (Le Floc'h et al., 2010). However, these two factors may interact in determining performances and health as recently showed in pig (Pastorelli et al., 2012). Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tarkastellaan, miten evakkous, siirtokarjalaisuus ja asutustilallisuus vaikuttivat Laatokan Karjalasta Pohjois-Savoon evakuoidun Mureen perheen elämäntapaan. Kesällä 1944 Mureen perhe, johon kuuluivat leskiäiti ja viisi aikuista lasta, joutui evakkoon Salmin Kirkkojoelta Lapinlahden Alapitkälle. Kesällä 1947 Yrjö Mure kirjoitti hallintasopimuksen asuntoviljelystilasta Lapinlahden Alapitkältä, ja seuraavana vuonna tilalle valmistui väliaikainen asunto. Differential memory persistence of odor mixture and components in newborn rabbits: competition between the whole and its parts

Interacting with the mother during the daily nursing, newborn rabbits experience her body odour cues. In particular, the mammary pheromone (MP) contained in rabbit milk triggers the typical behaviour which helps to localize and seize the nipples. It also promotes the very rapid appetitive learning of simple or complex stimuli (odorants or mixtures) through associative conditioning. We previously showed that 24h after MP-induced conditioning to odorants A (ethyl isobutyrate) or B (ethyl maltol), newborn rabbits perceive the AB mixture in a weak configural way, i.e. they perceive the odour of the AB configuration in addition to the odours of the elements.
