Heikot motoriset taidot ovat yhteydessä oppimisen, toiminnanohjauksen ja tarkkaavuuden ongelmiin ja lapsen fyysiseen, psyykkiseen ja sosiaaliseen hyvinvointiin. Varhaisella tuella voidaan vaikuttaa myönteisesti lapsen kokonais kehitykseen ja ehkäistä vaikeudesta aiheutuvia toissijaisia pulmia. Perceived motor competence in early childhood predicts perceived and actual motor competence in middle childhood

The study aims were to (1) identify perceived motor competence (PMC) and actual motor competence (AMC) profiles in children at two time points (early and middle childhood) 3 years apart, (2) explore transitions between the profiles from T1 to T2, and (3) investigate how PMC-AMC profiles at T1 differ in their mean values for AMC and PMC variables at T2. PMC was assessed by the pictorial scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence for young children (PMSC). Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää erään ensikotiyhdistyksen avopalvelumuotoisen päiväryhmän roolia pienen lapsen kehityksen erityisessä tukemisessa. Tavoitteena oli kuvailla päiväryhmätoiminnan monimuotoisia työtapoja ja ymmärtää niiden merkitys pienen lapsen kehityksen tukemiselle. Aineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla päiväryhmän ohjaajia ja ryhmään osallistuneita äitejä. Päiväryhmätoiminnan merkitystä tarkasteltiin tässä tutkimuksessa näin ollen sekä työntekijän että asiakkaan näkökulmasta. Leikitään ja keskitytään -hankkeessa tuettiin perheitä, joissa 3–5-vuotiaalla lapsella oli tarkkaamattomuuteen ja ylivilkkauteen liittyviä haasteita. Keskeinen tuen väline oli vanhemman ja lapsen yhteinen, päivittäinen leikki. Toiminta oli tarkoitettu varhaisen vaiheen ennaltaehkäiseväksi ja melko lyhyeksi tueksi. Leikitään ja keskitytään -hankkeessa leikittiin tuttuja leikkejä, muun muassa piirrettiin, pelattiin erilaisia pelejä ja sääntöleikkejä sekä tehtiin rentoutumisharjoituksia.
