Sijaisperheiden biologisten lasten kokemuksia perhe-elämästä

Tutkielmassa tuodaan esille sijaisperheiden biologisten lasten kokemuksia perhe-elämästä ja arjesta. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu kahdeksan 10–15-vuotiaan lapsen henkilökohtaisesta haastattelusta. Haastatelluista lapsista tyttöjä oli viisi ja poikia kolme. Lapset olivat viidestä eri perheestä. Perheet olivat toimineet sijaisperheinä pitkäaikaisesti ja niissä oli kolmesta viiteen sijoitettua lasta. Haastateltavat valikoituivat eteläsuomalaisen perhehoitoyksikön kautta. Tutkielman kontekstin muodostavat sijaisperheiden arki ja perhe-elämä. Aiheen taustoittamiseksi työssä käsitellään laajemmin perhettä, perhesuhteita, perheiden arkea ja niihin vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Searching for the Self : Adult International Adoptees’ Narratives of Their Search for and Reunion With Their Birth Families

In this case study, five international adoptees from Finland were interviewed about their search and reunion experiences to find out what meanings they ascribed to their identities and family relations. The thematic analysis yielded three themes: search and reunion in significant periods of life, meaning of reunion for identity, and belonging and relatedness within family. We examined associations of cardiometabolic risk score (CRS) and individual cardiometabolic risk factors with HRV variables in 6‐ to 8‐year‐olds. Introduction Children under five years are most at risk of experiencing fatal and nonfatal drowning. The highest proportion of drowning incidents occur in private swimming pools. Lapses in adult supervision and failures in pool barriers are leading contributory factors for pool drowning in this age group.
