Application of time-resolved spectroscopy to concentration measurements in gas mixtures

Remote photoplethysmography for assessment of oral mucosa

The present study is devoted to the assessment of oral mucosa perfusion using remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technique. The alterations of mucosal perfusion were evoked by regional infiltration anesthesia containing adrenaline. Simple rPPG setup comprising white LED light source, video camera and narrowband optical filter (CWL=540nm), are able to detect subtle microcirculation changes in gingiva. Results demonstrate substantial decrease of rPPG waveform amplitude and subsequently perfusion index in affected gingiva region, following administration of anesthetics. A series of butterfly-type molecular constructs has been prepared in good yield by using a double Stille coupling synthetic protocol. They are composed of a terpyridine (terpy) scaffold and two wings composed of appended porphyrins that are capable of switching from an extended W geometry to a compact U geometry upon cation coordination of the terpy unit. The porphyrin moieties exist in the constructs either as free bases or they can be sequentially metallated, thus giving rise to wings of different "colours". Collisional Broadening of Rotational Lines in the Stimulated Raman Pentad Q-Branch of CD4

Self- and argon-broadening coefficients are reported for a number of Raman Q-branch transitions in the nu(1) and nu(2) + nu(4) bands of (C-12)D4 at room temperature (296 K). The coefficients display a variation with j and with C exp n (symmetry species A, E, F) that is essentially independent of collision partner and which is similar to the j- and C exp n-dependence found in previous measurements of the IR line-broadening coefficients.
