However, several significant studies demonstrate that changing social structures were also responsible for the ‘social question’ of the time. Ello ha tenido su reflejo en los modelos de celebración del matrimonio que reconoce nuestro ordenamiento, siendo opcional para los contrayentes la elección de su modelo: matrimonio civil regulado por el Código civil, ya sea en forma civil o en las formas religiosas de las confesiones con acuerdo o con notorio arraigo, y el matrimonio canónico.
