According to the current state of research on the phenomenon of biophilia, the positive influence of nature's elements on humans has long been widely understood. Since the negative impact of urbanised areas on quality of life was noticed, human-friendly architecture has been redefined, where the physical and mental well-being of people using buildings, remains highly dependent on their contact with the environment. Selected examples of existing buildings analyzed two different approaches to contemporary biophilic architecture; one where nature is the pedestal of the whole building and one where the interpretation of nature translates into technological, engineering or structural solutions. …

El objetivo de este estudio analiza las interrelaciones entre la música, la proporción áurea y la arquitectura helénica, aplicado al Erecteión. Al establecer las ligazones existentes entre ambas manifestaciones artísticas actualizamos la máxima de Spengler que vinculaba el arte de las matemáticas con la música y las artes plásticas. Al mismo tiempo hemos elaborado de manera completa el desarrollo matemático de la proporción aúrea.

To honour the battle of 27 May 1860, in 1910 the Palermo City Government decided to realise a commemorative monument. A position at the centre of a large circular plaza was of have afforded the monument a greater solemnity. The commission for the Monument was awarded to Ernesto Basile. Digital Vitruvius, or an elogy of the equilateral triangle

On interpretation of an architectural project, triangle’s form generally refers both to plans of organic architecture and to fronts of Romanesque and Gothic churches. This wonderful form, that contains God’s eye, is, according to Vitruvius, the geometric generative principle of the Roman Theatre. Everybody knows that De Architectura arrived to us without images; in the past there were innumerable interpretations, from editio princeps (1486). A digital transcriptions, that follows side by side a Vitruvius’ book’s translation, highlights the compositional process that defines that the equilateral triangle is the geometric element that give origin to the composition of theatre.
