Los apotegmas incluidos en la Primera Jornada de El cortesano (1561) de Luis Milán sirven como base fundamental del presente trabajo. En concreto, la presencia del famoso caballero don Manuel Ponce de León en dos de ellos. El artículo resume la biografía his-tórica de don Manuel Ponce de León, la repercusión de su fama en la literatura de la época y analiza los dos apotegmas ?no asociados hasta el momento con su personalidad? en relación a las otras manifestaciones literarias que protagoniza.

Mesonic exchange current contribution to K+ nucleus scattering.

A microscopical many-body calculation of the self-energy of a positive kaon interacting with a nucleus is carried out of kinetic energies Tk up to 500MeV. On top of the well know contribution of the impulse approximation, we have considered the kaon coupling to the pions in the nucleus. Previous approximations for the pionic cloud contribution, specially on the imaginary part from the pionic cloud wich were not previously considered. The results for the total and differential cross sections are satisfactory after these new contributions are included, but uncertainties remain in the real part. A model for the γN → ππN reaction

We have studied the γN → ππN reaction using a model wich includes N, Δ(1232), N*(1440) and N*(1520) intermediate baryonic states and the ρ-meson as a intermediate ππ resonance. The model reproduces fairly well experimental cross sections below Eγ=800 MeV and invariant-mass distributions even at higher energies. One of the interesting findings of study is what the γN → N*(1520) → Δπ process is very important and interferes strongly with the dominant Δ-Kroll-Ruderman term to produce the experimental peak of the kross section.
