In this paper I aim at pointing out some difficulties raised by the so-called thesis of the protective perimeter of liberties (ToPP), that is: the thesis according to which: neither a privilege necessarily involves a claim to non-interference, nor a claim to non-interference necessarily presupposes a privilege. As to the first aspect of the thesis, I argue that it relies on a misleading concept of ‘interference with a liberty’, which surfaces in the examples to which the thesis is made applicable. A Rayleigh-Ritz approach for postbuckling analysis of variable angle tow composite stiffened panels

Abstract A Rayleigh-Ritz solution approach for generally restrained multilayered variable angle tow stiffened plates in postbuckling regime is presented. The plate model is based on the first order shear deformation theory and accounts for geometrical nonlinearity through the von Karman’s assumptions. Stiffened plates are modelled as assembly of plate-like elements and penalty techniques are used to join the elements in the assembled structure and to apply the kinematical boundary conditions. Resum: Una llegenda medieval fon dos personatges literaris: el Judes dels evangelis i l’Èdip clàssic de la tragèdia de Sòfocles, de manera que ens trobem un Judes que, a més dels pecats que ja li coneixíem (traïció, avarícia, mentida, satanisme, suïcidi etc.), comet dues transgressions “edípiques”: el parricidi –mata el seu pare- i l’incest –es casa amb sa mare-. En aquest article fem un seguiment de la tradició textual d’aquesta fussió, del s. XII al XVI, en especial a través de les “passions” teatrals occitanes i catalanes, la Legenda aurea de Varazze i algunes referències de sant Vicent Ferrer i Francesc Eiximenis.

Līdz šim tiesību zinātnē nav veikta padziļināta ģenerālklauzulas „nevainojama reputācija” izpēte, arī tiesu praksē tās piemērošana ir tikusi vērtēta salīdzinoši maz, tāpēc šī darba mērķis ir noskaidrot ģenerālklauzulas „nevainojama reputācija” saturu un piemērošanas specifiku. Heavy episodic drinking (HED) is highly prevalent in college students. In Argentina, there is a notable lack of longitudinal studies examining drinking trajectories. The present study identified HED trajectories in Argentinean college students during the first 3 years of college (seven waves) and examined the association between risk factors for alcohol use and HED trajectories. The sample was composed of 1,240 college students [63.1% women, aged 18–25 years (M = 19.1 ± 1.7)] who completed at least three waves (the first data collection and ≥2 follow-ups).
