Indefinite integrals involving the Jacobi Zeta and Heuman Lambda functions

ABSTRACTJacobian elliptic functions are used to obtain formulas for deriving indefinite integrals for the Jacobi Zeta function and Heuman's Lambda function. Only sample results are presented, mostly obtained from powers of the twelve Glaisher elliptic functions. However, this sample includes all such integrals in the literature, together with many new integrals. The method used is based on the differential equations obeyed by these functions when the independent variable is the argument u of elliptic function theory. The same method was used recently, in a companion paper, to derive similar integrals for the three canonical incomplete elliptic integrals.

Abstract In this paper we present an algorithm to evaluate Legendre functions of the first and second kinds ( P v , Q v ) for integraland half-integral order and argument greater than one. The code is based on the calculation of the continued fraction for the Q 's. the Wronskian relating P 's and Q 's and the application of forward recurrence relations for the P 's and backward recurrence for the Q 's. We also show an application of these algorithms to the evaluation of the electrostatic field due to a charged toroidal conductor at potential V .

Heavy episodic drinking (HED) is highly prevalent in college students. In Argentina, there is a notable lack of longitudinal studies examining drinking trajectories. The present study identified HED trajectories in Argentinean college students during the first 3 years of college (seven waves) and examined the association between risk factors for alcohol use and HED trajectories. The sample was composed of 1,240 college students [63.1% women, aged 18–25 years (M = 19.1 ± 1.7)] who completed at least three waves (the first data collection and ≥2 follow-ups). In this article we present part of the results in the analysis of the Basic Vocational Education and Training from a gender perspective. A new training cycle included in the compulsory stage of the Spanish educational system in order to avoid early educational abandonment. To this end, adaptation and curricular diversification are combined since the academic curriculum is narrowed in favor of a greater professional content according to the branches offered. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar entrevistas realizadas a 30 mujeres de 21 a 40 años de edad de sectores socioeconómicos medios y bajos y un corpus de sus fotografías publicadas online durante el proceso de su embarazo, poniéndolo en diálogo con las fotografías online del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación de campañas de cuidados de salud en el embarazo en Argentina. Nos interesa analizar ese recorte de la realidad, ese lugar donde se quiere echar luz, que implica la fotografía; sobre todo para poder identificar, analizar y comprender lo que se dejó afuera de ese recorte, lo que se intenta invisibilizar. In Song of Solomon Toni Morrison rewrites the legend of the Flying Africans and the Myth of Icarus to create her own Myth. Her depiction of the black hero’s search for identity has strong mythical overtones. Morrison rescues those elements of mythology black culture which are still relevant to blacks and fuses them with evident allusions to Greek mythology. She reinterprets old images and myths of flight, the main mythical motif in the story. Her Icarus engages on an archetypical journey to the South, to his family past, led by his Daedalic guide, on which he finally recovers his ancestral ability to fly.
