At the end of 2012, the PON METRO National Scheme was set up in Italy, inspired by the EU Urban Agenda. It also allows towns like Palermo to test and reach targets of urban resilience, focusing on mobility and sustainable energy in order to improve life in the cities together with innovative policies of social inclusion. On the typology of motion events in Aymara

This paper investigates the lexicalization pattern of motion events in Aymara, an Andean language spoken in Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. After providing a description of the morphosyntax of translational motion events, this study aims at a preliminary typological classification of Aymara within the framework of Talmy’s typology (Talmy 2000). With this purpose, three diagnostic tests have been used to determine the basic framing-typology of motion events. Les termes de poche ou de tascabile ont plusieurs synonymes, en français : portatif, abrégé, petit; en italien : portatile, compendiato, piccolo, compatto. L’utilisation de ces mots dépend de la date de publication des ouvrages. Les « portatifs » ou « poche » se définissent par rapport aux dictionnaires existants auxquels on les compare. Dans l’état actuel de nos recherches, on a pu dénombrer 283 dictionnaires de poche italien / français de 1710 à 2005. Les dictionnaires de spécialité existent aussi en poche, même si leur nombre est plutôt réduit (4% environ du total). Correlation between body size and longevity : New analysis and data covering six taxonomic classes of vertebrates

Large bodied species are known to live longer than small bodied species. However, it is less clear whether the positive correlation varies across taxa. In this short communication, we combine data entries from literature and databases on body mass and maximum life span for 3722 species covering taxonomic Classes Chondrichthyes, Teleostei, Amphibia, Reptilia, Aves, and Mammalia. We then analyse the log(maximum life span) – log(body mass) relationship using generalized linear model with nested random intercepts and slopes for Class/Order/Family. Emotion-related areas of the brain, such as the medial frontal cortices, amygdala, and striatum, are activated during listening to sad or happy music as well as during listening to pleasurable music. Indeed, in music, like in other arts, sad and happy emotions might co-exist and be distinct from emotions of pleasure or enjoyment. Here we aimed at discerning the neural correlates of sadness or happiness in music as opposed those related to musical enjoyment. Swear words and interjections in the world of Tintin: changes, enlargement and reduction of meaning in Italian translations. Tintin is one of the best known all over the world French language comics. Even in Italy Tintin has been translated and published. Starting from a linguistic analysis on Haddock’s swearwords, one of the best friend of Tintin, we will observe the Italian translations (four editions from 1965 to 2011) of the French album Le crabe aux pinces d’or.
Machine Learning for Predicting Chemical Potentials of Multifunctional Organic Compounds in Atmospherically Relevant Solutions

We have trained the Extreme Minimum Learning Machine (EMLM) machine learning model to predict chemical potentials of individual conformers of multifunctional organic compounds containing carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. The model is able to predict chemical potentials of molecules that are in the size range of the training data with a root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 0.5 kcal/mol. There is also a linear correlation between calculated and predicted chemical potentials of molecules that are larger than those included in the training set.
