Outolinnusta selviytyjäksi : perhehoitoon sijoitettujen lasten kuvauksia omasta elämästä ja selviytymisen keinoista

Tämän laadullisen tutkimuksen kohteena ovat perhehoitoon sijoitetut alle 18-vuotiaat lapset. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan aineistolähtöisesti lasten ajatuksia omasta menneisyydestä, nykyisestä elämäntilanteesta ja tulevaisuudesta. Lasten ajatusten pohjalta selvitetään ja kuvaillaan vaikean lapsuuden läpikäyneiden lasten selviytymisen keinoja induktiivisella tutkimusotteella. Aineisto on kerätty haastattelemalla seitsemää perhehoitoon sijoitettua lasta heidän elämästään ja kokemuksistaan. Aineiston analyysi on toteutettu temaattisen sisällönanalyysin menetelmällä. Political community resilience in declining rural areas in Finland

Abstract In this article, we study how declining rural communities build political resilience in Finland. Community resilience is an adaptive process through which rural communities try to maintain their viability in changed circumstances. This process does not entail a submissive attitude, but rather active agency and an effort to influence matters concerning the community’s well-being. We focus on the political dimension of resilience by identifying different local tactics that rural communities adopt to promote their own development following municipal mergers. The article explores motivational and personality predictors of burnout syndrome in sports coaches. The study involved 183 sports coaches of 20–63 years old (86.9% women; M=41.34±10.56 years), with professional experience for 13.83±9.98 years. Three components of professional burnout ― Emotional exhaustion, Depersonification and Reduction of professional achievements ― were measured with the adapted Maslach professional burnout inventory (Vodopyanova, et al 2008). The aim of this ethnographic and autoethnographic research was to explore what kind of a learning culture existed in an 8th grade English class in a Finnish basic education school in the 2011-2012 academic year. Maatalous ja ruoantuotanto ovat tärkeitä elinkeinoja maaseudulla, vaikka ruokajärjestelmän keskittyminen onkin kuorinut rahavirtoja maatiloilta kohti keskuksia. Fossiilitalouden mahdollistama suuruuden ekonomia on toiminut tämän keskittymiskehityksen tärkeimpänä moottorina. Samalla fossiilitalous yhdistettynä keskittymiskehitykseen on ajamassa suomalaisen ruokajärjestelmän kohti umpikujaa. Maataloussektorin pitäisi pystyä merkittävästi vähentämään kasvihuonekaasupäästöjä, vähentämään Itämereen ja sisävesiin päätyviä ravinnepäästöjä sekä torjumaan luontokatoa.
