Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää elintarviketeollisuuden informaatio- ja tietojärjestelmätarpeita sianlihan alkutuotannosta. Tutkimuksen tuloksena luotiin viisi konseptia sianlihantuotannon kehittämiseksi.
