Gliding Motility and Expression of Motility-Related Genes in Spreading and Non-spreading Colonies of Flavobacterium columnare

Gliding motility facilitates the movement of bacteria along surfaces in many Bacteroidetes species and results in spreading colonies. The adhesins required for the gliding are secreted through a gliding motility-associated protein secretion system, known as the type IX secretion system (T9SS). The fish pathogen Flavobacterium columnare produces spreading (rhizoid [Rz], soft [S]) and non-spreading (rough [R]) colony types, of which only the spreading Rz type is virulent. Physiotherapists’ conceptions of movement awareness– A phenomenographic study

The phenomenon of movement awareness requires more attention to make it explicit in physiotherapy. The aim of this study was to explore the variation in physiotherapists’ conceptions of movement quality, focusing on movement awareness. The informants were 15 physiotherapists from a variety of physiotherapy fields. We collected data through two group interviews and used the phenomenographic method to analyze them. Epäonnistuneen kieltolain myötä Suomeen laadittiin itsenäisyyden ajan ensimmäinen väkijuomalaki. Väkijuomalain myötä yksityiset henkilöt, yhdistykset, järjestöt sekä yksityiset kerhot saattoivat perustaa anniskeluravintoloita. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan Jyväskyläläisiä anniskeluravintoloiden anniskeluoikeusprosessia ja ravintoloiden valvontaa kieltolain päättymisestä vuonna 1932 talvisodan syttymiseen syystalvella vuonna 1939. Yhteiskunta oli sisällissodan myötä edelleen jakaantunut. Myös Alkoholiliike jakoi ravintolat yhteiskuntaluokkien mukaan. Tutkimuksen tavoite on avata Isänmaallisen kansanliikkeen pää-äänenkannattajan, Ajan Suunnan, lukijoilleen välittämää juutalaiskuvaa selvittämällä minkä verran ja millaisia juutalaisia käsitteleviä kirjoituksia lehdessä ilmestyi. Ajan Suunta aloitti ilmestymisensä neljällä näytenumerolla vuoden 1932 joulukuun alusta. Se jatkoi ilmestymistä kuusi kertaa viikossa ilmestyvänä iltapäivälehtenä vuoden 1937 joulukuuhun saakka, jolloin siitä tuli päivittäin ilmestyvä aamulehti. Lehti lopetti toimintansa vuoden 1939 lopussa, jatkaen ilmestymistään heinäkuun puolenvälin jälkeen vuonna 1940. Vuoden loppuun saakka lehti ilmestyi kaksi kertaa viikossa.
