Tutkielmassani käsittelen Kristillisen Työväen Liiton politiikasta vetäytymistä. Liitto otti osaa poliittisena puolueena vuosien 1907-1919 eduskuntavaaleihin saavuttaen enimmillään kaksi samanaikaista kansanedustajan paikkaa. Valtakunnan politiikasta vetäytymisen jälkeen liitto jatkoi toimintaansa valistus- ja evankeliointijärjestönä. Kristillinen Työväen Liitto sai alkunsa vuonna 1906 sosialidemokraattisessa työväenliikkeessä omaksutun ateismin vastustamisesta ja kirkollisten piirien halusta suitsia radikaaliksi muuttunutta työväenliikettä.
