The estimation of steatosis in a liver graft is mandatory prior to liver transplantation, as the risk of graft failure increases with the level of infiltrated fat. However, the assessment of liver steatosis before transplantation is typically based on a qualitative or semi-quantitative characterization by visual inspection and palpation, and histological analysis. Se estudiaron algunos aspectos demográficos y de la biología reproductiva del mirlo común Turdus merula en una superficie de 17 ha dedicada al cultivo del naranjo en la localidad valenciana de Sagunto. Mediante la aplicación mixta de la técnica de la parcela y de la búsqueda de nidos se calculó el número de parejas nidificantes desde 1975 hasta 2015 y se obtuvo información sobre el tamaño de la puesta, el éxito reproductor y las causas del fracaso de los nidos. Aims To investigate women's childbirth experiences and their relation to self-esteem development in the postpartum year. Design A mixed methods study. Methods Women (N = 125) completed survey questionnaires regarding their self-esteem and childbirth experiences at three time points in 2020–2021: third trimester of pregnancy (T1), 4–8 weeks postpartum (T2) and 1 year postpartum (T3). The survey results were analysed using qualitative thematic and quantitative path analyses with latent change factors. How do rural areas profile in the futures dreams by the Finnish youth?

Abstract Demographic trends do not give much hope for rural regions in developed economies. Many studies prescribe rural futures as manifestations of consumption of the countryside by an urban majority. However, many of these macro-images and typologies lack explicit micro-agency. This article illustrates what are the expectations from personal futures in rural areas, where specifically and by whom. The respondents of a national survey represented the Finnish youth, who described their dream future in 2030 in terms of livelihood, accommodation and lifestyle recipe.
